I was out for a ride in my car awhile ago and when I came in my wife had her new vintage Sinatra CDs going. The inevitable question formulated itself: did Frank own or fancy Ferraris or other exotic cars?

He had a Jaguar XJS, which has sold at auction several times (for absurd prices).

Yes, the Jag was for sale (again) at the Goodings auction in Pebble.

Also, there was a period of time when all the Rat Pack boys (including Sinatra) owned Dual Ghias.

I recall that he owned an XJ6, the lineage of which is well documented. I don't remember him owning an XJS, but I could be wrong.

I think the marque the Rat Pack is best known for is the Dual Ghia.

That 400i was for say on Ebay a year ago. The owner was cleaning out the car when he found older style gold watch that slipped down in the seats, engraved on the watch was a note to Sammy from one of the guys, indicating that it was indeed Sammy's car in addition to the buyer records. The color was on the 400i was that dark bergundy.

I believe it was a 77 400A. If I remember correctly the high price on ebay was in the mid 20's and it had 8,000 or so miles

Nancy Sinatra once owned a Ferrari. I don't know which model it was.

Frankie was more into the big American iron.

When I had my car wash in Palm Springs Ca his gofer would bring some of his cars down occasionally when he was still alive, one was a huge mid 70s Contenental 2 tone White with Dark Blue panels and white leather interior, I think it was a Boat edition of sorts as it had Nautical trim.

Wonder what happened to Dean Martins sons P4? His sons name was Dino I believe, he died in the 70s while piloting a Military fighter jet a F4 Phantom I think, flew it into a mountain.

My wife's late father had one of those--early 70s range. Light blue body with Continental trunk bulge, dark blue padded top, dark blue cloth/leather inside. Operating it on the road was truly more akin to piloting a large cabin cruiser than driving.

In the early '80's, there was also a special "Frank Sinatra edition" of the Chrysler Imperial. All of them came in blue, to match the famous eyes. I've seen the one that is here in Vegas; owned by a collector who is also president of the local Rolls Royce Club. Here's are little write-up of that model.
