I vote for the tunnel too. I've driven trucks on the BQE and felt like the suspension was going to break from the condition of that road.

i have a warehouse in LIC so i go through the tunnel AT LEAST once a day,
have not gotten a ticket since may 24th. i always throw the plate in the front windshield if there is a cop at the end of the lane i'm on.

I like Emil's suggestion, but I'm not going to screw my car up by driving it over obscenely bad roads to connect to the BQE. How long is the bad stretch?

What about Brad's suggestion to take the Williamsburg?

i agree. even though the ones have no plate can always hide closely behind the one that do(who have plates anyway??), just in case one of us is stopped, we are all losing time. sorry we aren't wc nuckas and we dont leave hommie behind.

    Ed -

You should be able to slip by coming into the city if you go the EZ Pass route. However, we're going to have 20 cars with exhausts rumbling on the way out, easily attracting Bridge Police attention. My fear is that once they see a whole bunch of us without plates, they'll systematically pull us over to ticket us. It'll make their month!

That's why I'm suggesting we take an alternate route.

    Groups decision.
