Kent - Saturday 30 October

A long term friend of mine from Stirling is about to turn 40 and will be visiting me over the last weekend of October. He is of Italian descent and has been mad on Ferraris since I have known him, which is about 30 years, and before then. I will be taking him for a run in my 360, which he will see for the first time. It would make a great birthday suprise if I could get a few other Ferraris together to take him out for short runs.

I wondered whether anyone who lives within striking distance of me would be willing to meet up and help me put on a birthday treat he will remember.

If so, please let me know and we can arrange a suitable meeting place.

A pub meeting sounds a good idea. How about K1? I think that would be convenient for Mal and Graham. Would that be OK with you Darren? Another suggestion could be the pub which I can never remember the name of, which is on the B road near the A21 - the road that leads to Edenbridge eventually.

Perhaps some of us could go to the pub in convoy from my house at Farnborough Park. Not too early in the morning so that you don't wake my neighbours Graham!

Other suggestions would be welcome. Lets see how much further interest there is before deciding.

I'll also see whether my neighbour is available with his 360 spider, so hopefully we can amass a reasonably sized gathering.

My friend, was offerred a Ferrari factory tour that weekend as a birthday treat by his wife but chose a weekend here instead, so hopefully this will mean that he will not regret the decision. I will go on a factory tour with him sometime.

That's the one - The Woodman. Perhaps we should settle on that one.

Can I suggest 11 ish at the Woodman, or alternatively for those travelling near me, 10.30 at my house. I can give details by PM to those interested, but it is less that 1 minute from the A21 near Chapter One.

I will keep my fingers crossed that the weather is kind to us.

Anti-climax it would not be. He would love to see your car, if you are not busy. At the moment there is the possibility of there being a great range of cars.

Good suggestion, Maranellos is just around the corner and I've never been to KHPC so I'm game for that as well.

Lets see how many people are interested and we can then agree a full schedule, leaving anyone who wants to do, say, the meet at the pub and Maranellos but not my house and/ or KHPC to be free to do just those. I don't want to be too prescriptive as it may not suit everyone.
