Does anyone know what the targa top finish is on a late model (84) 308? It feels/looks like textured vinyl. Trying to figure what I should use to hide a light surface scratch. I've heard Griots has a vinyl dye (if it is in fact vinyl).

It is fiberglass, with the vinyl pattern molded into it

Tilllman is correct, but the vinyl dye will probably still work on the fiberglass surface to mask the scratch.

Thanks Tillman. I'll try using vinyl dye. Someone mentioned that Griots has a pretty good black dye product for vinyl. Has anyone tried it?

It is actually more of a "plastic trim dye". They offer it in black and gray (I think). Someone did post pictures of using it on their 308 targa top a few months ago. The results looked quite good. You might search the archives for the thread.

I've used "Mother's Back to Black" on mine and it works well (also on the bumpers). I've heard that Griot's works even better but haven't tried it yet.
