I was very lucky to be invited to a private track day at Brands Hatch today. Our cars for the day were race prepared M3, the only 2 Pro-Sport Spiders ever made and an F50.I was a passenger in all the cars and am still grinning like a fool 2 hours later after leaving the track....
The F50 was simply sensational; quite a heavy car but nonetheless, it performed like a true thoroughbred on the track. There were numerous Porsche GT 2's and 3's and several GT3RS too, as well as some turbo F1 cars.

Tony, great shots, and some very very nice hardware to sample from. Lucky guy, I bet you are still buzzing! What is the silver car about 8 or 9 shots down?

awesome pics looks like alot of fun.....
would u happen to know if that NSX was a type S or S Zero. It wasn't an NSX-R and i dont think it was available in that color til 02 and it has 97-01 wheels. How did fair against comprable Ferraris, I'm more than sure the F50 and some of the other cars killed it :)

    Guys,
how can i tell what model of NSX is ? The car had private plates which means i can't tell the year of manufacture...Interestingly-or not- the front of the car was covered in what looked like cling film, which i understand was to protect the paint . Subtle it wasn't !

It looks like a normal 97+ NSX in orange. The wheels fit the 97+, so I am guessing it is not a Type S.

    Hi Henry,
the silver car's an Ultima GTR. There was a big Lotus presence today, Elise and Exige, and they held their own with the big boys ;) And yes, thank you v much for the CD.Most appreciated. I did reply on another thread but i guess that's been washed away....

    tonyh,
you could tell what type it was by if it had a type s badge on the right by the bumper, but anyway how did it stand up to other similar cars there like the 355?

keep representn' netviper we need it in some of these forums :)(mostly not here though, except for avid 348 and 355 fans)

    Dan,
because this was a private track day, the only Ferrari on track was the F50. Numerous variant of 911 and single/2 seat track cars , like Radical and new Palmersport/Jag cars. The NSX held it's own against the older 911's but wasn't really a match for the GT2 & 3 or GT3RS, as you would expect.

You are so lucky! The F50 is one of my top 10 favorite cars ever, the only one from the modern era.

    Zach,
i will remember this day for sure. The F50 owner drove 2.5 hours to get to the track, changed into slicks, blasted around nearly all day, changed back into road tyres, then drove 2.5 hours home. Respect :)

The Pink Le Mans Porsche looks like the one that Nick Mason raced, or was involved with the team that raced, at Le Mans and owns (or owned) ... refer 'Into the Red' first edition.

Must admit I didn't know it's history with Nick Mason, RH Motorsport was preparing it a while ago for Wynn Percy to drive, then sadly Wynn was paralysed in a freak incident in his garden :(
