Seems the Spring and Fall EC events are always dodging storms but manage to get in ok. Missed the awesome TSS and LI show, not because of the early hour and later showers but because as it happened I was down in Deleware for the weekend (Winner Porsche) inspecting, then buying and driving back a nice clean 01 996 C4 to be my daily driver (odds seem to greatly favor an early, abnormally cold and stormy winter...the third in a row in the northeast!). Sam...I was really looking forward to CIN but sorry I could not sign up because it turned out to conflict with a five-brothers family reunion in Sag Harbor the same weekend (but I am so close I will try to stop by to say hello).

Now, the numerical weather computer models are increasingly going to a scenario of two wet east coast storms between Thursday and Saturday. The first minor event is Thursday afternoon and early eveing with about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of rain. The second storm will develop over Georgia Friday morning, deepen explosively and move up the coastal plain inland and it could be a real screamer with heavy rain and gales for a time Friday afternoon and night but with clearing by Saturday morning. According to some of the models the winds Friday night (esterly) and Saturday morning (westerly) could be gusting to over 40-50 MPH so maybe not a rain out Saturday but a blow-out! Anyone planning to take a ferry to LI over the Sound take heed. I will update tomorrow afternoon after I see and digest the new computer runs.

Well, Sam I got the final confirmation and I will NOT be able to attend this event. I know it is not going to be the same without me but try to compose yourselves ;). Take lots of pictures and let me know how it went.

    Have a good time!

Actually I heard this evening that it's going to shower during the morning, and then give way to a pretty windy afternoon. Weather seems pretty "iffy" for now. Sunday's temperature: "mostly sunny".

Varies by forecaster. Best bet is a few light stray showers in the AM, but clear by late morning. Changing the date may be a problem, so unless there is major rain, we go Saturday. I will keep an eye on the weather.
