Just a thought... There are some wide quiet streets back there or there's the turn out off of the West Side Highway.
I'll be at a conference @ NYU Med Ctr starting 8am - If you guys head up the FDR, let those TUBIs roar as you pass the 34th St exit. I just might be able to hear em
i need someone to volunteer to drive the cop from CT for the day, the cool one from Running of the BUlls
sorry, my passenger seat is full. I do have room in a Contour but that won't be running with us: transportation only.
hey guys since you are takining th 107 exit on the northern you should stop by my house to pick me up i am like 2 min from that exit what do you say? if you dont want to then no one gets stickers or cds
Here's the route map: http://www.carclubevents.com/cin/caravan.html If we want to stop at Brad's (and I do) we should leave NYC at 9:30a for proper, un-rushed stickering.
Yeah, I could fill in for Keith and really slow the caravan down. I'm sure the trail I left to the city in bread crumbs is still there....
might wanna check on who is still gonna be at the gas station on GSP. since brad's will be a stop, some LI ppl are going there instead.
So, we're meeting at the designated place at 9:30 and going right to Brad's? http://www.carclubevents.com/cin/caravan.html
you city ppl meet as planed. a stop at brad's is set, me, thonda, brad, etc will be there. whether or not making the stop at gas station depends on who will be waiting at gas station. i do not think of anyone right now.
Emil, I think the traffic is really going to be pretty heavy in and around Riverhead tomorrow. They are having Oktoberfest in the center of town. Combine that with the pumpkin pickers and I would say to avoid rts.58 and 25 and to get onto sound ave. east of 105. My solution would be this: LIE exit 70 go south to CR 51 north. Take the right turn off by Wildwood lake and follow to traffic circle. Head east on 24 then north on 105 all the way up to northville turnpike (right at light) then right onto Sound ave. I guess if you are interested in this give me a call or let me know and I will post better directions or arrange to meet you when you get out this way. Now that I look at it, it looks confusing. It is definately the best way to bypass Riverhead and most of the roads are wide open with not much traffic. I think no matter what we do Sound ave. and 25 are going to be slow, but by going my way it will put us as far east as we can get with main roads.
If you guys will be caravaning past the Shack on 25a I will wait for you there. Could someone PM their cell to me so I can bail if you change routes for some reason? Andy
