If you are talking about how to manually lift the head light, there is a knob on the top of the motor that you turn. If you open the hood and then look down through the crack, between the back of the light housing and the body you will see the knob. Just be careful not to open it up too much. Once the housing gets to a certain height it will automaticly close itself, and you could get a finger busted. The motor is very strong. If you want to you can just disconnect the power to the motor. There is a plug that you can get to from underneath the car. You will have to take off the under body cover that runs from the wheel well to the bumper to get to it. Once you have that off you will see were the connector from the bottom looking up. Just unplug it then turn the knob to open the headlight housing. Again if you do this with the motor plugged in be careful not to open it all the way cause it WILL close by itself if opened too much. Other than that it is pretty easy. If I remember correctly you turn it clockwise to open.

As ernie says there is a black knob on top of the motor.

The manual says:- Disconnect the battery at the disconnector switch, turn knob (Q) clockwise untill the headlamp is fully raised.

    Guys:

thanks for the info, but as this is a challenge car, there is no motor either. Got a call from the PO last night and he thinks the buckets are either rivited in or screwed in. gonna check it tonight. I'm trying to get lights back into this thing, so i can put a plate on it..........

    thanks

While you two are on line, I do have another question. I have a sissor lift that i use in my garage (We race 911's and i have some other cars....) and i tried to jack up the challenge car this past weekend to do a pre track check (bleed brakes, check susp, bearing etc....) and i can see where i can safely lift this car......The four jack post work to change tires, but seem just too close to balance the car on a lift.......any thoughts??
