Lee, I think we're aiming for Saturday 31st October - maybe meet up in the afternoon while it is still light, go for a blast and then go and grab something to eat. What does everyone think ? Rick
Doh - the 30th it is then. How about meeting at 4pm and go for a little drive - should we need North or South ? Plan some nice roads and then a place to eat. I think Steve mentioned a drive upto Blackpool once - we could that as the lights are on now (I think) or head into the Peak District and find a little country pub or something. Rick
I think the illuminations are still on ... could be tricky with cars, but on the other hand there will be loads of fanny ! (can i write that tony ?)
i will fetch russ and he can take you to the pleasure beach and go on the teepot ride hook a duck and all the other kids things as there is a seperate childs area in the pleasure beach do you like candy floss lee p
erm - i prefer sugar dummies over candy floss steve. me and russ may get lost though if you leave us alone in the kids area... i think you should hire us a baby sitter
Hmm - don't think I'll be able to do this as it's V.MAX on Sunday 31st. The words "luck" and "pushing" spring to mind!
if the general consensus is to do the blackpool thing, i am able to sail saturday morning and land at morecombe, midday. anybody prepared to put their neck on the block and actually confirm something ? cheers, d
Al, where is this Vmax thingy and what does it involve? If is blasting down a runway I wanna come too
Apparently it's all booked up this one. But there are more to come - Pistonheads have got a thread on it. Simon - you've got to take the Lambo (and me !!). According to Al the top speed to is nearly 200mph - so the Lambo should be good for that. Rick
I can't do an overnighter sorry. Does everyone think Blackpool is a good option - just a bit concerned about the traffic and my "slow down 1-4" lights !! Rick
Yep - fraid this one is booked up. Craig only lets about 35 cars take part, that way it keeps it small and friendly, no need for loads of red tape, and more importantly, plenty of runway time! Just check out the VMAX thread on - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=20&f=133&t=119162&h=0 the list of cars is, er, impressive to say the least Just needs a Lamborghini to complete the list I reckon. oh, if I recall correctly, I think Dazren held the record at one point in his 996 at 197mph but has since been taken by an Ultima at 202!
cheers al if you could let us know when the next one is on i am sure i can top that 996 as the P100 beast has just been serviced and its raring to go
