    Hi Ton,
yes,I know people with a passion for porsche.

I own 2 911's aswell as an f-car,so hopefully I am able to give a fair opinion.

    Porsches are very good cars.

But since I got a ferrari, the porsches remain unused.

So generally,I believe (just my own opinion of course),that if a porsche owner were to be given free ferrari to use,his porsche would remain in the garage too.

but the point is that this scooby is not faster... after the 200m mark!

A moped can beat almost any car off the line for a distance of say 3 meters!.. does this mean the moped is the faster vehicle?

and the only reason the scooby is faster off the mark is the 4 wheel drive traction/ gearing issue.

surely all car enthusiasts have serious issues with 4 wheel drive? Great for getting from A to B in the wet but absolutely rubbish for sticking the tail out and having a good time!

... would have been curious to see that Skoda 110R go round a few fast bends.. got any pics of that to give us a larfff!

.... Nickster you seem the like the ideal guy to give me some F versus P advice, I'll send you a PM, hope you don't mind?

    Nickster,

I owned both a Ferrari and a Porsche myself. I was just kiddin'. At this moment we have a black P996 cabrio and I am looking for a new F550. The Porsche is a fantastic Ferrari killer. I just love it!

You're both right off course :);) A love (or passion) for a car or brand is very personal...

But doesn't real passion only come from the land of Ferrari...?
Italia is all about passione! :D;) You can't say that about Germany, Korea,... IMO It's just not the same...
LOL I think a Fiat or Alfa Romeo got more passion then a Subaru or BMW.
Everybody his or her own opinion off course :D;)

    Greets, Alexander.

    Alex,

I don't agree! I have more passion for a BMW than for a Fiat. But then again.... I have more passion for a Ferrari than for a VW.
I guess that everybody has to decide for himself. But a Ferrari is more mythical than al of the other marks together.

    :)

    No problem Ton.

We all don't have to agree all the time ;):)

Everybody has an opinion and if that's respected there's never a problem :)

On the other hand... a BMW???? Come on! LOL ;):D

I have seen a quote by a Porche owner that reads something like this:

"...I almost seem to have a little penis envy when it comes to Ferrari..."

I will try to find the source.
