It's a tough decision, but my 2003 Maserati Spyder is now for sale. The car is Rossa Bologna (deep burgundy metallic) with tan interior. The car is equipped with the Cambiocorsa transmission, Skyhook suspension, Heated Seats, CD Changer, Windstop, Xenons, Custom dash, piping and carpets (in black). The color combo is absolutely stunning. The car has 1150 miles on it and has just had an oil service at WWOC as well as a TUBI exhaust installed. There are no dents, dings, scratches or wheel marks and the car has never had any accidents. The car is complete with all books, tools, records and original window sticker (original list was over $100,000). Price is $71,500 with TUBI or $69,500 without. You will not be disappointed with this car. You can email me at [email protected] for more details or call 917-232-4136.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Question on everyone's mind will be why are you selling a 1 year old car with such low miles? Seems either you were disappointed or you have some other reason for selling. Am sure it would help if you said why.

In the last 9 months I have owned a 355B, 360 Coupe, Lotus Esprit and Porsche TT. There are many people on this board who know me and have seen and driven in the car. I am selling this one for the same reason I sold the others. I am going to get something else. Call me crazy.....

Scott- are those the same wheels you got with the car? I remember seeing photos of your car when you first bought it and it had the Grigio Mercurio wheel option(gray looking wheels). Maybe the new photos were shot in different lihting. It is a beautiful car. I thought the wheel option you got made your spyder stand out compared to others.

The photos I originally posted when I bought the car were taken at the dealer. At that point, the car had the Grigio Mercurio wheels. I actually had them switched to the standard wheels before I took delivery. I didn't like the darker color when I saw it in person.

You're welcome. We actually have a Coupe Corsa on the showroom in those colors, one the best combos IMO.

0 to 60 is around 4.7 seconds and the Tubi sounds awesome!! The car has a bumper to bumper warranty for four years. The only real maintenance is oil changes. I just had one completed and it was around $250. You don't have to remove the engine to work on it so that keeps costs low (unlike a 355). The engine has a timing chain not a belt so that helps a lot as well....

At your cost of $26.17 per mile in depreciation, I now remember why I didn't buy one of those things!

yeah, but it might not be a bad deal to buy one used at roughly 50% off sticker for an 02, or ~30% for an 03.

Same here, especially if they get an extended warranty for more years and to 100k miles.

Buyers paid sticker price for the 2002's because they were new. Anyone who bought a 2003 or 2004 did not pay sticker. In was not unusual to get $10,000 knocked off....

WOW, my gross income is probably less than what you spend annually in car related sales and registration taxes! And then there is the depreciation and modification expenses. I am jealous. ;)
