I found that Evo issue utter BS..."The F40 not as raw as expected ??"

Im glad the pics are nice ...that compensates the 8 euros i spent..

Anyway for me i think the ultimate still is the F40. All it needs is a better sound..

Agree, only article to ever say that, every other one has been the complete opposite. Could the conditions have something to do with it.

I believe Mark Hales anyday over that article as he has driven Nick Mason's F40 plenty of times and he states that it is a raw beast especially with cold tyres!

The F50 might be the best naturally aspirated v12 supercar but it still looks like a Barbie toy car. Whoever styled it should be castrated IMO, unbelievable uninspiring and absolutely NOTHING racey or raw about it looks.

Those would be "racecars"... the term "supercar" is usually used for the topmost tier of road cars... the ones where they might compromise performance for street-worthiness, but no expense is spared. To Ferrari's list above, you can add supercars such as the McLaren F1 and the new Porsche Carrera GT.

For some reason I prefer the F50 to the F40 as far as styling goes. I guess it's a little to square for me. However I do like the idea of a twin turbo V8. The Enzo gets my vote because it's the best performing and coolest design. I didn't like it at all but it grew on me. Then when I was lucky enough to see and sit in one I was sold.

First time I saw the F-40 I almost cried from the shear beauty and presance of it. Never felt that way about a car before or since.

FOW had all four cars in red in the showroom during the grand opeining fo their new showroom....to me, the best looking was the f50, then enzo thenf40 and then gto.....although i wouldnt throw anyone of them out of my garage...i have heard a f50 with a tubi...the sound was amazing.....the f40 i heard didnt sound nearily as good, with v8 and twin turbos.... i would take a 12 over any 8 anyday...it is the essence of ferrari..the enzo is an enzo, what can you say......but it an f1 tranny, so i will take the f50 , in red please....

Appears the F40's carrying a bit of an edge in this poll, at the moment. Interestingly (or not), it's the only one of the four that can currently be had for under its original MSRP.

With only 200 US-legal cars produced (have yet to see an EPA/DOT'd euro car) and its Enzo swan song/ultimate drivers car legend, the F40 seems a decent value in the world of semi-recent, top 'o line, limited build street Ferraris.

The one that is a supercar by its nature and rarety, but that you would not think of (unless you were one of the Enzos at Magny Cours who had "trouble" with it the other day...............!
