P'Patpong krub, I have it done through the speed shop that I use. It's Ray Techno Service. He will send the exhaust to another guy (he would not tell me the exact location, all I know is it's around Rama IX and Ram Kumhang intersection krub). Ray has had this guy copied and/or created a few exhaust systems for sell in Thailand and also export krub. The examples are EVO header, Impreza WRX header, 911 header and exhaust, MX-5 header and exhaust, etc.... The quality of the seam welding is pretty good. The quality of the material depends on what we want to pay krub.

What I have made is the following:
    1. the Y-shape following the headers
    2. the cat by-pass
    3. the rear muffler and the tips

total to 5 pieces krub....don't know the price, but estimated at no more than 25% of the Tubi...ha ha :)

About cracking problem, for the normally aspirated engine, I have not had this problem krub. But for my EVO, I boosted it up to 1.4 bar (my mechanic tuned it to run safely at 1.8 bar!!!), and I also used anti-lag system which put much more heat into the header....(the header glows red hot when I turn the ALS on)...it indeed cracked after less than 2000km from new krub (due to extreme heat and pressure). Anyway, that's what to be expected when we use ALS krub.... I don't expect to see cracking from this 512TR system.

When it's done, I will post some pics for you to see.

K.Mon krub....I wonder what you buy for your car..:)...must be lots of toys..ha ha. I now need all the bushings for the 512TR very badly. Hopefully I will find them quickly.

    HI K. Pong,
I have Ray worked on my Lotus Esprit many years ago. He is nice cool guy. I think I know the exhaust guy. Does he use argon for welding? the seam should be very small and should best. I have ordered a custom made turbo to put on my Esprit from Germany. And I should have my header renew with argon welding. The crack on this header, I am not sure if it was cause by heat or vibration. Let me know how it turn out. I would love to see how they make yours... You should get same sound as Boom's yellow F512M. I am sure you will enjoy it.

P'Patpong, I and my brother have known Ray since 1992 krub. He's great. His product can't be called cheap, but usually it's of a very high quality.

I am not sure if they will use argon....never ask...I will ask today.

P'Pom krub, thank you for the link :)

K.Mon krub, you must have had quite a good time there. Did you see any 430 you'd like to own? I can't believe the Nokia will take a picture that looks this good.

I just got back from the US. Nice photos from all. Thanks a lot for posting.

    Fellow Sprinters,

As you are aware by now, the Sprints have been going on for a while and the reponse has been very positive seeing from the growing number of Sprinters joining the group recently. On behalf of the small group of friends that initially started the Sprints together many years ago, we are indeed very grateful for the support and interest from all of our new friends. Apart for the Sprints, all of you would agree that this thread has been very active with many contributing to the contents.

Now that the introduction is done, I'll just get straight to the point since the following development needs to be shared with all of you Sprinters as soon as possible. Last week it was a surprise for me to learn that I was appointed the new President of the Ferrari Club Thailand (FCT), this news has already been announced to the F-car factory acknowledged by Jean Todt himself. My sincere appreciation goes out to the outgoing President, without his keen contribution and guidance the FCT wouldn't have achieved the close friendship with the factory that it has enjoyed to date. It's only hoped that I would be able to continue this into the future with your kind support.

So, as you can guess what's going to happen now is that all of the future Sprints are to be known as official FCT events, and part of the FCT calendar of events. From my point of view, there's no immediate changes necessary to way that the Sprints have been organised in the past, considering the amount of interest and fun that they have generated. Please rest assured that it's my intention to keep the concept of the Sprints as "easy-going" as possible in order to maintain the simplicity. As for the other events of the FCT, we'll just have to see.

Taking this opportunity to thank all of the Sprinters in advance for your friendship and support.

Oh, next time we meet, drinks on me.

Congratulation on your newly appointed position krub K.Theera. I sincerely think that you will be doing a very good job indeed in the new role.

Regarding the fact that now the Sprint will be an official FCT event, do I have to become FCT member in order to be eligible to join the event? I don't think I am at the moment. When I first bought a car from Ferma, they entered me into some kind of membership. Actually they still haven't sent me a model of the 360Modena promised at that time!

I don't think that was FCT though becuase I've never received any news or information from FCT before. I also heard that there are two clubs and the more active one is FCT.

If in fact the Sprint requires a membership, how do I become one without a Ferrari?

Questions for the new president krub...ha ha... I don't think I am a member of FCT....not yet. I wonder how do I apply and what do I get krub??

Thanks for your swift interest on the matter.

To be honest, I'm still trying to put together some ideas for the FCT, considering the fact that nothing much has changed since it's formation ten years ago. Certainly various issues would have to be addressed such as the overall concept, the fees to be charged, the activities and events that are to be enjoyed by the members. So far, I'm interested to follow the existing idea that members don't necessarily have to be owners of F-cars, since there are many interesting people out there for some reason or another don't have F-cars. Obviously, I would prefer that the outings are exclusively for all makes that are Italian.

It's a new start and your support is needed. Just keep alert about things as they progress.

    Thanks

    PS: All Sprinters are welcome.
