An MSD Multispark amplifier? MSD makes a unit called a "DIS4" for 8 cylinder distributorless ignition systems. Fits between the stock ignition amplifier (where it gets it's trigger signal from) and the coils. I know that the multi-spark only occurs at low to mid range rpm's, but perhaps the 355 could benefit.

Mark Eberhardt uses on on his supercharged 308. Looking at the wiring schematics it would be a slam dunk install in the 355. This box also opens up the possability of using Denso Coil-On-Plugs, thereby eliminating the spark plug wire completely.

The DIS4 goes for about $350 and a set of 8 COP's can be found for around $75 (for eight) on eVil Bay. Trick would be where to mount the box where it's not exposed to too much heat. Now this would be MUCH better than replacing the stock spark plug wires :)

The 348 uses the same Bosch coil pack (0 0221 503 407). I'll be calling MSD Monday to see if I can use two coil-on-plugs wired in parralell per output channel with the DIS-4 to use it as a lost spark with a coil per plug. This way I can have 8 seperate coils instead of two coil packs. Primary resistance on each coil is 1.2 ohms and secondary is 11.6K ohms. Half that for parrellel... .6 and 5.8K. The DIS-4 "should" be able to drive that

BTW.. Did you need to use MSD's Tach adapter?

MSD said no problem to drive Denso Coil-on-plugs in parrell.

OK, so here's the plan: MSD DIS-4, 8 coil sticks from a Suzuki GSXR.

Viola!!! no more plug wires! Solves that problem. Better spark & performance.

The 355's ignition system is a mid '90's design, now it'll be "current"
