I love this ad. http://www.btinternet.com/~ukf1.net/videos/Vodafone_Advert.wmv Reminds me of "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Family Man." It begs to ask the question "what if?" What if Michael never persued his racing career? What if he ended up in a normal office job? We can only wonder...
There was a similiar kind of TV ad a long time ago with Larry Bird (Boston Celtics) where he was an employee working in a home depot or other home repair store. He was behind a desk answering questions for people looking for paint, etc. At the end of the commerical, he was cleaning his desk with a rag, looked at the trash can a few feet away, then looked around and threw it in (nothing but net!) with a hmmmm on his face!!!! Theo
Is that how Germans actually live? Wow. The whole country? I feel bad for them now. Perhaps we should organize a meeting place where we can drop off old toys for the children and used books for the adults. Poor bastards.
Mind translating it for us? Thanks. The little red model F1 Ferrari on top of the computer monitor is a nice touch. Also, Barrichello's expressions are priceless.
Yup, love the Ruben's expression. I saw this commercial actually several months ago on British telly. Love it.
Brilliant. Actually, MS's acting is not too bad on this if you watch his facial expressions. And RB's are priceless!!!
Groovy, I´d already seen it in Spain. Does anybody out there know more links to Ferrari related commercials? I´ve always wanted to see that one of Good Year with Enzo Ferrari and a Testarossa...
That one I don't know. But there is a good one for Bridgestone and the Enzo normally shown at least once during a GP on Speed. Normally I don't like the Bridgestone commercials, too stupid for my taste ("and the wheel goes round and round", well hello, what else is it supposed to do?), but the Enzo one is really kewl.
Listen when he is waiting for the bus. And also listen when he is in the office. It sounds like the F1 car is revving the engine and then the phone in the office sounds like the motor is bouncing off the rev limiter. Kinda crazy, but it's there. As for other adverts, I have seen one of MS on a small bike where the chain comes off then he photos it to his pit crew. Another has him driving his F1 car through city streets, then buys a Fiat. Another is of a broken down car and the driver calls a friend who is at an F1 race, they get pumped about the race, then forget their worries. It's nice how the phone can do that. Another shows the Vodafone symbol a bunch of times, then shows the crew SMSing. Another shows quirky moments and photoing and then a pretty voice says "Why wait to show odd stupid moments?" Then there is the clip of him racing a jet, but that's not an ad. Then there are the clips showing the '97, 99 issues, regent street, MS pitting for what looks like a photo op, and clipping the front jack man etc.... There must be a thousand of those clips on the net.
Please, please MS keep your day job. And Number Two, same thing, No Days of our Lives for these guys..
Notice how Rubens stll looks like he's the last kid picked for the team! Some are born winners and some are, well.......... ---
Well, Rubens is trying to act surprised by this loon who has suddenly taken Michael's place. Michael switches places with this guy who had the office job Michael now inhabits, and the original office job guy is a bit overwhelmed by being a Formula 1 driver (something he dreamed of or at least though about - the F1 model on top of the computer monitor say this).
