If you are wearing a watch, jewelery etc. , make sure they all match (i.e. all gold, all silver, all stainless steel). Don't mix and match metals.

By the way, I work as a sales associate in a jewelery store in Gainesville to help with college. I can answer some jewelry questions if you like. My specialty is watches (we do Tag, Rolex, Omega, Raymond Weil, and Ebel).

    I'll second that!

I wear Tony Lama small quill ostrich, but only because they don't make boots out of baby seal skin. Cue Dennis Leary. "I'm an ******.."

Mine are just like this, but with black uppers and I blacked out the white stitching on the sole.

Occasionally take Cloves or pepper out of your front teeth especially when on a date.

Rotate your underwear at least once every 2 weeks, you can rotate 4 ways before you need to wash them, for example inside out, backwards, etc.

Vitalis. Brylcream, or Pomade extra heavy on windy days for that combover

When on a date chew your food at least twice before talking, that way if pieces fall out toward your date they will be small and they probably wont notice.

Smooth quill ostrich IS an excellent footwear value, having all of the durability at a fraction of the cost of the Full quill hides.

Although at a recent close out sale I found an outlet "dumping" Full quill Tony Lamas at $250 a pair!

    BigTex has new boots!!!!! LOL

Here are some excellent books that are a must for anyone wishing to become a stylish dresser:

Gentlemen: A Timeless Fashion by Bernhard Roetzel

Clothes and the man by Alan Flusser (all his books are good)

    Chic Simple's Men's Wardorbe

Here are some words my father taught me when I was very young:

"Fashion is fleeting, but taste is timeless."

He also gave me my first real piece of fine clothing; a Burburry Navy Blazer that has become a treasured piece of clothing I hope to give to my son if I have one.

Some of these rules are pretty basic (eg, remove suit jacket sleeve labels) or just good etiquette (don't blow your nose at the dining table), but "fashion rules" can and should be defied. If you don't have a sense of style, you should probably follow the rules of color coordination, but if you have flair and can dress without being too outre or attention getting, do what pleases.
I have been wearing western style boots long before i started a career practicing law in NYC; i wear them to court, to client meetings, and when hanging around (I don't wear them to drive for obvious reasons). I basically quit wearing suits years ago, except for court and "formal" client meetings. To me, its far better to have some very high quality things than a bunch of cheap threads. the importance of very high quality white shirts cannot be underestimated. You can get away with a grotty pair of jeans (black, preferably) and a beat-up pair of cowboy boots if you are wearing a freshly pressed Turnbull & Asser egyptian cotton shirt, or its equivalent; i'll throw on an old leather coat and i'm dressed for almost anything; if the coat is black, too, i can even pass at a black tie affair.
I cannot stand logos or script of any sort on anything; that includes monogrammed articles of clothing.

Good, you need some that don't say "Boot Town" on them. Do they make a full quill in size 70?

and by the way, is it fashionable to have a redneck in your mouth, as long as he has a mullett?

Listen up. Losing your hair is like being over weight. No one cares untill you make a point of trying to cover it up. I have dealt with my share of older fellas. There is NOTHING RONG with losing your hair. Don't comb it over. Cut it short and keep it trimmed. I had a great boss, the second greatest leader I have ever seen. He was 55ish and was 50% bald. We were having a few one night and when I thought he was in the bag enough, I broke the news. My question was "why" His response was "why what? I said "why" {with a head nod up}. His response was "you noticed uh? I said "Gebus man" His response "I'll fix it tomorrow" I said "Proper thing".

End of story. Hair is important, IF you have it! If you don't have much hair, it isn't important at all.

Get in shape too. You don't have to be built like a bull, just don't have a gut, weak arms or a flabby tricept muscle. <<< Think about it.

As for eyebrows, if their bushy, it's not a big deal. If you have one eyebrow, go to you girlfriends shop and see if they can help you, then continue to go back for a "check up". If the pros can't help you, you are screwed. Leave it alone. It's better to be screwed than f***ed.

As far as being on a budget, don't buy cheap clothes if you are trying to impress. Buy a shirt at a time if you have to. Or br like me and have the girl friend go through you closet. She will be allowed to throw out anything that she dosn't like. I can't tell you how many items I have lost. Better yet after she empties your closet, take her shopping with you. If she is gitty {sp} wait untill she relaxes. You are trying to look good and classy, not standoutish, there is a difference.

I just got back from buying shoes. They will last only 5 months, but at their price, it's a good deal. Don't think you have to break the bank on a suit or watch. Changing up your closet will make it look like you are spending good money on your dress. {Even if you are tossing things because they are worn out}. And that is one of the points in reguards to having style, don't wear the same shoes, coats, shirts etc... for more than several months.

I am a salesman, when the boys talk about clothes and looks, we turn into a bunch of homos on reality television.

Going along with the above comment about not buying cheap clothes, if you don't have a lot of money but want nice clothes try ebay. I have had great experiences with buying clothes on ebay.

I also don't think it wise to cover things but you can dum the down.
If your overwieght, don't wear double breasted or three button jackets. Stick to two button, single breasted jackets. These will contrast with your figuere and create a better appearance.

Also, if you have a full face, wear square or rectangular glasses, these will also provide a good contrast.

By the way, I have my own name and am no longer using my father's account (gschiener).

Since i have to wear a jacket and tie to school everyday, i put on what ever is on the floor, roll out of the door and into school. Outside of school always darker blue jeans that are faded in the front, 2 t-shirts or a long sleeve shirt, and if i wanna impress the ladies i thrown on the pink polo shirt and pop the collar of course. Never leave home without my trusty Minnesota Twins hat as well.

Actually the ladies seem to dig the jacket a lot more than the F40 :( LOL women are wierd. They walk right past the car as if it was a Corolla but they just stare at the jacket. Moral of the story, want to attract ladies, skip the pricey car & get some funky clothes Ha ha

BTW I found a cool Cowboy club full of hot chicks & Cowboys so I went out & bought some cowboy boots & a great leather jacket with lots of beads & leather strips hanging off it.

I'm still looking for a cool American Indian vest with beads & feathers & stuff for next week at the same club :)

Anybody have a favorite tailor or designer.

Some of mine are: Ralph Lauren, Burburry, Brioni, Anderson and Shepp, and Turnbull and Asser.

Also, any nominees for best dressed. I would have to nominate Prince Charles and Pierce Brosnan.
