Hey, I'm traveling to Ohio the next couple of days, so I can't tie up the loose ends. I'll be back Fri night or Sat. Someone (Eric?) please tie up the loose ends on this run.

    What we have:
    1) meet 7:45am at 1st gas station on Palisades Parkway.
    2) Leave at 8:00am up the Palisades for Bear Mountain
    3) toodle around (we need a route for toodling)
    4) Catch breakfast about 9:30-10:00am we need a place to stop
    5) Drive some more another route needed
    6) break at 11:30ish to bid farewell to those not heading down to FoCNJ
    7) Down the Garden state parkway to exit 130 to Rt 1 for FoCNJ
    8) Arrive 12:00ish for the lunch
    9) 1:00pm Grand Prix starts
    10) 4ish- Thunder home up the Turnpike.

3 - We'll run the twisties on Bear Mountain

4 - We've got a spot. We'll eat at the same place as we did the last time around. I don't remember the name, but a bunch of this crew was there the last time so we'll know where to go.

    Eric's in charge from here - ;)

Just got back from Chicago. If it rains we'll reschedule. I just checked and Sunday ain't lookin' too bad at this point! As for now we have a good group and we can do the same route as last time, hit the Diner in Yorkville and then head south on the Taconic or another "nice" road. From there we can split off once we hit the NYC area and those heading down to FoNJ can do so and the others can go on their way. Sound like a plan? So far we have...

Well, it poured on the Mondi while on the LIE on the way home from CIN. Surprise! The wipers worked, no leaks, and it didn't melt. Cool. Oh, and had three kids in the car. Mondi POWER.

I know how you guys are and if it is raining and you guys are driving the way you normally do it is very dangerous. Speeding at 80+ Miles an hour in the rain is not the smartest idea. I prefer to stay alive.

Agreed but each time I have driven in the rain I have been in the back because of the speed going. I remember for example when we had the party at my house and the guys shot to the city. 80 - 100 MPH the whole way and it was raining pretty hard. And people wonder why I am in the back?

I totally agree, with you guys, drive the cars rain or shine but I just do not like be stupid about it.

Mr. Woods, I have to say that you are the oldest 19 year old I have ever met! I mean that in a good way (well, kind of...). ;-)

As for driving in the rain, the run on Sunday is to enjoy the foliage, friends, and a good drive. It's not a matter of driving in the rain or not. We will go if it isn't raining and will reschedule if it does just based on the premise of the run. I drive in the rain all the time and as we know a good number of us do. In this instance, if it rains...it defeats the purpose of the run. So with that said...IT WILL NOT RAIN ON SUNDAY! Or so I hope not...

We'll update the final decision Sat. evening.

The pro-weather models and sites I look at and study indicate Sunday AM will be dry here in a little wedge of high pressure separating rain east of here associated with a big ocean storm and a front coming in from eastern PA. I am leaving for London later Sunday but will try to get my trip prep done so put vinnycar 348 Spider down for definite maybe.
