A brand new 250LM ... with a 100% real chassis number. No mods, as everything since those days has been about diluting the driver skill requirements ;)

Hmmm, I thought the F50 was in some ways more advanced than the Enzo. Isn't the engine in an F50 a stressed part of the chassis, and with the Enzo they returned it to being just an engine?

Thus surely if you liked the looks of the F50 and wanted to update it, all you would have to do is add carbon brakes and a paddle shift - slush box and have the engine upgrated to F50GT specs (750hp ?) ... and goodbye Enzo!

The only advancement with the Enzo (other than brakes, and slush box) is the aerodynamics ... which you don't want 'cause you prefer the F50 looks.

That is coming I believe ... or is already pretty damn close to the 612. But the 612 comes with tiny wheels (although 25" wheels would look tiny on that beast).

Body STYLE; Carburetted 308 GTS, sans spoiler.

Body material; CF or something a heckuva lot lighter than the steel they made mine out of.

Chassis: more rigid and lighter material please.

Interior components: CF all the way bro!!!

Air bags would be nice as a safety feature, BUT, could it be done whilst still retaining the Nardi steering wheel?

Dash: bump up the speedo a little higher please...just for me & where my head sits.

Console: keep the toggle switches as is but move them farther forward of the handbrake and have them lighted. Don't change a thing with the shift gate or knob. Ash tray is not needed. Drop a concealable V1 & police scanner in there instead.

Seats: same as in the carb'd 308; there is precious little in this world more comfortable save my own bed or the sand at Torrance Beach on a nice day.

Tranny: something perhaps a little easier to shift...maybe along the lines of a 355 feel.

Engine: 300 to 400 horses and normally aspiration will suffice quite nicely for me, especially if the weight can be reduced to 2400 to 2600 lbs. Webers are not neccessary.

Power windows? For me personally, I don't need 'em. Cupholders capable of holding a Starbucks venti frappucino at high acceleration, deceleration and lateral G's would be nice.

AC would be nice, but make it a modular, removable unit that could easily be installed and removed.

Windwings would be nice too-they are amazingly effective at even slow speeds.

Sound System? that's the engine isn't it? Make it sound well, like a 355 /w/ a tubi. Make it set off car alarms a block away.

It looks like we will have to draw up a proper letter to Ferrari factory and see what there response would be!!

There are some awesome ideas here-------are you listening Ferrari?

Let's keep this going and see if we can get more than 399 custom Ferrari built cars and then approach the factory about building them!!

    If they can built 399 Enzo's .....................................

    Oh boy, fun fun fun!

Okay, Pinninfarina carbon fiber body. Something EXOTIC, not designed by a wind tunnel. Give the designer some psilocybin and see what he comes up with. Must of course then be modified to look somewhat like a car.

Two seats, mid mounted 3.5 liter 12. Redline around 9000, hopefully develop 450 HP. Spaceframe chassy, whole car weighs no more than 2000 lbs (yes, it can be done)

    Spyder and Coupe styles.

Price: about $200k and make enough of them so people might be able to buy one.

The shroom comment was funny, but I bet the designer would end up watching cartoons untill he laughed himself to sleep.

For me it would be an F40* with
    Twin-Turbo 360CS Engine (500hp with equal torque)
    All- CF/ Kevlar Interior
Black ext., Black Wheels (not picky about design, something simple)
Shiftable Transmission with a Human-Designed clutch
enormous brakes, but no carbon stuff.

    - Carbon Fibre Chassis
    - Carbon Fibre Body
    - Enzo Engine
    - Transmission could either be:
    a. Zeroshift!
    b. BMW M5 E60 7-speed
    c. Enzo 6-speed
    - Carbon brakes (with 50,000km warranty)
    - Switchable traction control (a'la Hamann F512M)

    Exterior should look stock
    Black on Black

575 Challenge Stradale with 6-speed manual, preferably with a retractable hardtop and no stripe

Is it at all possible to shove an Enzo engine (or other F V12) into something like a Rolls Phantom and stiffen the suspension by 1000% with a much better wheel/tire setup to create the ultimate sleeper?

I originally posted this in the "Ferrari is going to replace the Enzo" thread 14 days ago.

That'd be my dream street Ferrari. Although if the new F1 engine rules come into play (2.4 litre V8), using a V10 for the Formula 1 connection would be a bit outdated. So just stick a nice V12 in there! :)

As for a track car, well the F2004 would do nicely. Realistically, because of Ferrari's 3 year technology sunset rule, I'd have to go with an F2002. ;)
