    I was just watching Real TV and they were doing a story on a man who stole an army tank and drove it around San Diego for 30 minutes. During the show they showed video of some of the wreckage and in one of the shoots there was a yellow Ferrari Dino 246 completely crushed. I couldn't tell if it was a GT or a GTS because everything besides the front was crushed. Does anybody know anything about this?

    They said that the cops shot him, but didn't say if he died. The guy totally wrecked like 40 cars.

    Yeah I remenber the news. Didnt know about the dino though, terrible loss. But yeah i think they killed him. He wouldnt give up so they had to shot him. If i remenber correctly.

    He high-centered the tank on a Jersey barrier and threw a track. He wouldn't shut it down so they shot him from the hatch overhead.

    He died if I remember correctly. Some great video out there of him driving the tank through motorhomes, etc.

    I remember when it happened, yes they did kill him.
    I was up late a few weeks back and saw th whole thing replayed, but did not see a Dino get crushed,

    the guy was shot by the police and died. i remember seeing the video, but not of a dino being run over. the majority of the video i saw showed the tank driving down the freeway after running over several parked cars. are you sure that a dino was involved?

    yeah, now that i think about it, what is a 246 dino doing just parked outside. And if it was im pretty sure the owner was close by. And im ceirtain he would of heard that tank coming down the road and done something about it.

    or maybe its true and it just terrible luck.

    It wasn't video of the Dino being run over, it was a picture. The picture focused on another car that was completely crushed into a pancake, but you had full view of the yellow Dino in the left corner of the video, everything but the front and the hood was crushed.

    I believe that the driver of the tank was identified as Alan Lambo. :)

    Saw the video quite awhile back, but I think I'd remember a 246 getting crunched. I do recall a Zcar (I think a 280ZX) getting hammered. Headlights on the two are vaguely similar. Maybe that was it.
