The model was actually done by Bosica some 20 years ago in VERY limited series as both a kit and built up. There were a couple of versions available; a two tone grey street version, other color street versions, and the Mille Miglia version. These are IMPOSSIBLE to find today. The last one I saw sold for $2000 for a very nicely built kit. The hood and trunk opened and closed (moving parts; NOT fixed)...but very fragile, as the hinges themself were cast white metal. This was highly unusual for 1982!

I am sure this is a "re-release" of that model, brought up to current standards....although the origional is 20+ years old, it was as good as 99% of the 1/43rd stuff done TODAY! It was Bosica's first 1/43rd "commercial" model. The wire wheels are spectacular and the proper size (tall enough and narrow enough for a 1930 car) The wire wheels were also sold seperately back tehn, and I could use a WHOLE BUNCH for many of my pre-war Alfa and other car models.

I already have mine on order!! :)

No pictures yet of the model on MRs web site, but both the street and Mille Miglia versions are listed there....

The Model looks beautiful but I don't know whether I could afford for that model or not :( For $2000, it make a while for me to jump for it
BTW when your model arrived in your hand, can you post the pics of the model. I really want to see the actual pics of the model
    Thanks for the picture

I have not as yet received the model...in fact I do not know if it has been released as yet. the picture I posted is simply a drawing of the car.

I do not have the original Bosicaversion of the model either, but I have seen both the factory built ups from 1982 and the unbuilt white metal Bosica kits from that time. The retail(public) price in 1982 was only about $125 as a factory built up and $25 as an unbuilt white metal kit. It was a lot of money back then, but I was stupid not to buy it! The value of that built up model now is some $2000, but I am sure it will drop when the MR version is actually released, which will upset some who have the original Bosica model in their collection. I do not know what the price will be for the "re-release" from MR collection, but I doubt if it will be $2000. It will probibly be more like $300 or so..

The car IS a Ferrari, but Scuderia Ferrari and not "Ferrari" Ferrari :)

    Regards,
    Stu
