It's not looking too good for saturday at this point. But if I do go I'll make sure I have a costume that no one will recognise me in.

I just had a thought. (I know, THAT'S scary enough). Maybe Sam could rent the Mondial out for tailgate parties and BBQs. That way he would have enough money for a major service.

 

perhaps if it ignites again, it'll melt the belts off, saving labor. then there's only the install.

But I agree with Hubi. I'm no fan of char-broiled steaks/chops/ or burgers. esp. cooked with 20w50. Maybe FoLI will buy it from Sam (or take it in trade for a 456) and use it at their next BBQ/get-together. How neat. A Mondial grill. No ignitor switch, just start it.

(yes, fire is no laughing matter. Yes, Mondi's are to be respected. so yes, I feel a little guilt about this thread. oh well. I'll get over it. Sorry Sam)

hey jon, i was thinking somewhere late december or in january because the snow may not come down by december 1st. But the first day the snow falls, ill have them pick up the car. i want to squeeze in as much non-snow driving as possible

Went to FoLI today just to have them double check my timing belts as another mechenic thought it might be a little worn. Well turns out the belt is just fine, but the belt tensioner is shot. A $100 part but the engine has to come out to replace it, so as long as it's out the 30K is going to be done AGAIN. This car already had a 30K done when it had 9K on it now I have 16K and round two. You really have to love these cars, well I guess my 30K is going to have to be my X-mas present this year.

I don't know Chris I spoke to Gianni about it today, but I'm pretty fond of the 355. The 360 is a great car too no better no worse just a little different, but as long as I still get the same thrill as the day I got it, I don't see me swapping it out for a while. Didn't know you were getting out of yours, not happy?
