Beautiful! I see you have a preference for the less known types. What is the type of the car in the eleventh picture? Is it a Lusso prototype?

And how do you display them?

I myself will be purchasing a 1:43 250P ´Prova´ or the 512S Coda Lunga I´m eyeing this weekend.

Thank you! Yes, the eleventh car (silver) is 250 GT/L s/n 4335GT, which was Pininfarina's personal car as well as the 1964 London Motor Show car. If you right click/save on the handbuilts, the file name displayed is the chassis number of the original car.

After all these years I still haven't purchased a proper display case. Some of the models are displayed on my bookshelves, but many have been put away for some time.

Very nice. I especially like the Bertone 250 and what looks to be the deRethy coupe. I like the mid engined sports prototype as well but can't positively id (I'm on the hunt for a similar 268). I have the same Lusso in addition to a 1/43 MR 3.2 coupe. Isn't it amazing that the 1/43 wire wheels look better than many of their 1/18 counterparts?
Again - very nice collection indeed. Any plans for further cars?

Thanks Russ. I'm actually missing the de Rethy coupe. Were you talking about the Lusso speciale as well?

It's been a while since I've bought anything, but I would like to get my hands on the following:

    375 Mille Miglia s/n 0490AM
    250 GT s/n 0393GT
    250 GT s/n 0425GT
    250 GT s/n 0751GT

and just about every other one-off from the 50s and 60s.

Yes - that's it now that I look closer (it's early for me). I should have picked up on the lack of the side vent window specific to BF's car. Still so very nice. It's also so interesting that all Ferraris, old and new, are so much more interesting when viewed in the context of Ferrari history.
    Off to find caffeine.

I really love that 410 Superamerica and the black/red California. I´m thinking about broadening my collection towards more unknown types (the only somewhat unknown I have is a 1:43 348 TB Zagato Evoluzione) but that would make my hobby a whole lot more expensive.... ;)

    Wayne,
Very nice genre of cars. I won't even attempt to guess what most of them are. Good to see another 1/43 collector, too. Most of mine are F1, though.

Understandably. The 333SP was a gift and I bought the 360 because I found myself in Bevery Hills one day and dropped by Exoticar to have a look around. I was disappointed to find nothing in the store that I was intereted in and didn't already own. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I bought the 360, which had just come out.

Beautiful collection Wayne - I love the red and blue Lussos. Thanks.

As an aside, how do you tile the pictures like that? (excuse my graphics ignorance).

Thanks. When you say "tile," are you referring to the way they appear on this page?

By the way, thanks to everyone for your compliments!

Yes. In the first two posts, they're perfectly "tiled"; great way to show collections. How is it done? Thanks.

I just sized them all at 400X300 pixels, uploaded them all into the post, and the software did the rest. I think it's their size that gives it that look.

Received my first two AMR models yesterday.

    The 512 Speziale, Turin showcar 1969 and a 1958 250 GT.

    Marvelous little models.

Wayne, you have about the same taste as I have. I have a good model of 0751GT by Carlo Brianza.

I would love to see photos if you have them.

Hi Boudewijn. Thats not really surprising as I've noticed that we share a similar interest in the more unique Ferraris. Thanks for posting the photo of your Brianza 0751GT! It's the first I've seen. Do you have any other one-offs?

Wayne, they´re featured on this page.

The 512 is at the bottom of the second page, the 250 GT at the bottom of the third page (well, you know where to look for).

Click on ´volgende pagina´ at the left topcorner to go to the next page or on ´vorige pagina´ to go to the previous page. The Fantuzzi is in there somewhere too.

Only the 512 and the 250 are mine btw.
