Nice. A few minor points, corrections, typo's, etc. but a very good overview.

I think the time has come to publish the entire "Booklet" that goes into this in minute detail and that some of you have already seen.

After you've had a chance to look it over it I'm sure some more discussion will ensue.

I think it's only fair, in light of Rob's hard work to first publish this document in the ROSSA section of FCHAT.

I'll send him the entire file today.

Best To All and Thanks to Eric and Rob.

Jim has been generous enough to share the documentation and stories of his restoration with the FerrariChat.com Rossa users.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36582

Over many years and thousands of posts the story of my 1967 Ferrari 330 P 3/4 0846 has unfolded on FerrariChat.com. Without this site I think its fair to say that much of which is now known, wouldn't be. I hope the Rossa Members who have supported Rob and FerrariChat.com will enjoy the following Document and look forward to much more interesting discussion.

    Best,
    Jim Glickenhaus

A lot easier than trying to read through 1500 posts on the subject, but is there anything new that is not in the "booklet" Jim did??

This was an expanded version of the booklet I got several months ago. Jim could better describe specific additions.

Took 0846 out for a little shakedown today. Brakes good. Ground clearance fine. Runs very cool. Very good oil PSI. We started with 10 quarts (40W Valveoline Racing) Added 4 sucked out 1 when it began to splash around. 12-13 seems about right. This puppy drinks fuel. Fuel PSI 7.5 Bar. Fuel pumps and Ign. take 25 amps, rad fans 20 more. Alternator can cope easily. Warmed up to 180, without rad fans cooled to 165 running slo, through town. Distilled water/ prestone mixed for 275 boiling temp. Oil held up fine. Siphoned oil clean, good viscosity, no water in oil.
The sound? It sounds like 75 Heuy's coming in low until you stand on it and then it sounds like nothing else on the planet.
The box is fine but needs a firm hand.
You need revs to get going but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
The tires are massive and it sticks like a mother. Reversing isn't too bad.

Dude, you have no idea how long i've been waiting to read this exact post... This is what it's finally come down to... Seeing it move; watching it do what it was made for... i am so stoked and, even moreso, because i'll get to see it with my own eyes out in New Orleans...

i don't suppose you folks took any pictures of it outside or on the road...? i bet it looks so sick next to Honda Accords and Minivans and Saabs and whatever else is randomly on the road... If you did, please post them, i'm anxious to see...

How's the steering Jim? Is the ride as firm as the Ford or more forgiving as the Lola?

    Hi
The ride is quite good. Somewhere between the Ford and the Lola. The steering is good but turning ratio is large. The seats are tight, very hip hugging but comfortable. No pics yet. Were heading out tomorrow for a longer ride.
Visibility is good. Mirrors work well. ALberto and Bob Wallace did some job on the motor. It really pulls and doesn't mind running through town. The oil temp gauge isn't working and the Tach is reading incorrectly. After FQC were heading to Modena to say hello to some people and gather a few bits and pieces. We're then going to pre run the Targa Floria and find a garage to base out of next June. Sal's relatives are already arguing about the menu's.

Come on Jim, the food is more important than the cars in that part of the world. Karen and I are considering making the trip. Still too early to tell. Sounds like the wait was worth it. Enjoy.
