Woke up. Got out of bed dragged a comb accross my head.
Lowered the Lola. Checked Tire PSI. Started her up and headed through the falling golden leaves onto the highway. Pulled into the shop 002C was warming up. All's well and she's just about ready for FQC. Removed mufflers and heaaders for paint. CLeaned belly pan. Banged out a dent Cortesse put in. Pushed 0846 outside. Started her up. Warmed her in the sun for 15 minutes. Put on the tail. Checked electrics, lights etc. and headed for the highway. Ran her up through the gears, cruised along. Checked the gauges still running very cool. Brakes fine. Suspention fine. Front wheels need balancing. The sound is wild. You can hear the trumpets sucking, the valves moving, and the gears wirriring. Pulled off the highway. Have to remember box is sequential and that you have to go 3,2,1 as you come to red light. You also have to heel and toe to keep revs up at stop or she will stall. If you raise idle she won't hot start. (Mechanical FI) Torque is fine but she needs to rev. Back at the shop let her cool down outside as we had a cappachino.

Awesome Mr. G!!! I have been waiting for almost 2 years for that pick. Thanks :) . Kind of off topic, but how do you insure the cars you have to be able to drive them on the street? Is it tough to get coverage?

If you are a sober and reasonable person it's not too hard. There are several Co.'s that specialize in this type of insurance. I use Grundy/Chubb and am very happy with them.

    Mr.G,
That car is definately going to attract 'horseflies' where ever you go. What a nasty looking rig. Seeing it and hearing it in motion has to be a real treat.
    Congratulations,
    DJ

It looks fantastic on the road! After seeing it next to other cars on the highway it got me wondering...how many inches high is the car? 38in? 42?

Having the p4 on the road in New Orleans along side Jim Spiro's 62' 330 TRi/LM will be very special. I can't wait!

It's been almost a full three months since i returned from Monterey; i've wanted to post these pictures since i came back... However, with all the heated discussion about this car, i just thought i'd hold off until things calmed down... They look like they have, so here are the pictures of this wonderful racecar... i hope you enjoy them as much i do...

Many thanks to our friend Jim for sharing this car with the world; he could put it in his living room (trust me, there's enough space) and keep it "museumed" from all of existence for the rest of eternity, but he hasn't... :)

Thanks to Paul S. (Replica Paul) the rear lights are now correct. (Paul I'll get you a photo on sat.)

    Best To ALL!

Carbon that last pic would have been super reflected in a Babe's sunglasses.
(Asignment for FQC. Also remember our friend making the SIM and get photo's for him)

That first shot is great, with the low angle, wide tires, and exhaust pipes coming out, it really speaks to the raw power of this car. I like the one with the 360 Challenge behind it, too.

As always, thanks to both of you.
