Looking for a yellow 355 F1 spider

There is a 95 yellow/black 6 speed for sale from a guy in brookline, MA. Had the car listed on ebay last week. I have exchanged emails with him. His name is Chris and his email address is [email protected]. His phone number is (617)319-9291.

Info from previous emails:

Point to note: my car basically has had its 15000 miles service done with
time belt and valve replaced which means you will be saving anywhere between
10000-20000. The service has been done religiously as follows:
Vehicle serviced at 21,247 02/22/2002
Vehicle serviced at 18,694 05/10/2001
Vehicle serviced at 17553 01/23/2001
Vehicle serviced at 8498 07/16/1999
Vehicle serviced at 05/26/1999
The car also had no minor or major accident. This information can be verified
by carfax. K40 radar and antitheft was installed.

The car has been serviced
only in Ferrari dealers, I believe at Fort Lauderdale. Previous owners: Maybe
two. I have all the records. The 15000 miles service has been done with time
belt and valve replaced. The car does need hydraulic fill for the convertible
top. It will be in the 400-500 range I believe.

I own a 1996 Spider, yellow, about 6000 miles. I purchased at about 13 months old with 1800 miles, all services done by Miller pre- my ownership.

All subseqent services also done by Miller and belts were done in 2001. I bought this as inbtween car until I bought a Maranello - well that came in 2001 and I never sold the spider!

Well, my 360 spider is due shortly and my original plan was to keep the 355 but "may" want to sell. I also happen to live in CT, email me if you have any interest.

I believe the 355 for sale on ebay from Boston (see my previous post) is still available. Did you ever call him? It's a 95 Yellow spider 6 speed and has around 20k miles. Price was very reasonable.

I was driving through Norwell tonight, and just before I turned onto Rt 3 North, a yellow 355 spider pulled behind me. The car passed me on the highway, and I drove next to it for a while. The car has a MA Dealer plate "XXX". I wonder if it is the same car discussed in this post. It was dark, but it looked and sounded amazing. As my friend is also looking for a yellow 355, I wanted the driver to pull over, but I did not want to look like a lunatic in the process. Perhaps the car can be traced by its "XXX" dealer plate?

 

I just called Chris. He seems very nice. This was not the car with the XXX plate on RT 3 North. Chris said that his Yellow 355 Spider has new tires, and was serviced in July at FONE. It is a 6 speed with black leather interior.

That leaves the question..... Who is selling the XXX 355 spider?

When I exchanged emails with him about 2 months ago, he was ready to sell it in the low $70s'. Said he was getting another FCar. 83k for a yellow 95 is too much in my opinion.

For that price hopefully you mean a prestine 512 TR, BTW are you selling the lamarosa mobile?

 

I am not trying to deconstruct this one, but I had to post some more details. The top of the engine had a film of oil covering it, and the interior was in terrible condition. The coatings on all of the plastic surfaces were peeling as well.

One would think to clean the car when presenting it for sale.........at least so I thought......

South Shore Volvo in Norwell, MA has the car I spotted on RT. 3 North. It is now on display in their showroom. "XXX" is their Dealer Plate #. They were closed when I stopped there tonight, but the car appeared to be in really nice condition from what I could see through the window. Even the cloth roof looked perfect.

Might be worth checking out............

Looks good in the photos. Seems I was wrong about the top being perfect, it has a small tear that has been repaired.
