Lung, thanks but I am in KL at the moment and will be here for a while. the car is back home
well? I am in Phuket at the moment anyway. Will be back in KL next week. We should meet up when we are all back in Spore. Heard Doc wants to sell his car?
Greetings - Just returned from a trip to Singapore. Lovely place, as always. Only saw a single Ferrari on the road while I was there - a 360 caught in stop-and-go traffic on Orchard Road. However, while I was there, my friend Steve (who owns a red 308 GT4) took me around to visit the Ferrari / Maserati dealership (since I own a 308 GTSi). Had a nice shop tour and discussion with Ben, the friendly dealership service manager. I was amazed at the variety of cars that was there at the dealership. I counted -two- new Enzo's, three F-50's, a F-40, a brand new 612 (the first of these that I had seen), a whole slug of 360's including a gorgeous yellow Stradale in the showroom, lots of 550's, 575's, 355's and 348's, surprisingly only a single 328, a pair of Daytonas, and who knows what else I missed. Of course, there was also a large assortment of new and used Maseratis - must have been 40 to 50 cars altogether, all crowded into a relatively small space. Interestingly, a number of these cars appeared to be in storage in their back room, covered with plastic sheeting and tarps. I could not even determine what models many of them were, based solely by their shapes under the covers. Why are so many owners storing their cars there like that? Or, is this their used car inventory and they are all for sale? Also had a good look at a yellow 308 GT4 which was getting a complete engine swap. Supposedly there are only two (2) GT4's in Singapore - Steve's, and this one. ... and I am -still- trying to figure out your 10 year certificate registration procedure that you Singaporeans have to go through! Makes no sense to me whatsoever. Cheers - DM / Ohio, USA
Hope that you get to see F-cars in Phuket. By the way, there are only four so it might be a bit difficult.
It must be an eye-opener for you! May I ask you what colour is the Ferrari 612? By the way, if you had read the earlier parts of this thread, you would have found out that the Singapore Ferrari showroom actually contained some more exotics like the Mclaren F1.... Did you have a chance to peek at these automobiles?
The 612 was up on a lift at the time of my visit, so I only really got to see the underside. They had yet to fit registration number plates to it. I think the body colour was dark green or black - something like that; most certainly not a bright red or similar. No, I didn't see anything like a McLaren there - the sight of a pair of Enzo's was noteworthy enough! Plus, I did not really want to wear out my welcome by poking around too much - Ben was taking his work time to see me around, and it would have been a bit rude to ask too many questions, if you know what I mean ... Cheers - DM
Hey guys, Let's me introduce myself, My name is TA and I come from Thailand but now I'm studying Motorsport Engineering in UK. One of my work is to analyse any motorsport activities in South-East Asia so it would be appreciated if your guys can provide me some infos. Has any motorsport association that organise the motorsport activities in Singapore ?? (any website or links) Is the motorsport field popular in yr country ?? Any supports from government ?? If anything that I missed, more infos are welcome... Best Regard, TA
Both Enzo's were red. Did not pay much attention to any of the Maseratis, but there were a dozen to 20 of them there so odds are that you could find what you were looking for if you were to look!

Hi guys, this is my first post here - hello, i'm a young car/driving enthusiast. Lung, word has it that the ultimate car wash/wax place would be car werkz, run by Lionel. He uses Zymol. My sister has been maintaining a whole bunch of cars with him, and apparently he does many of the local supercars. His work seems to be really, really good, if a little extremist in his detailing ways. He usually drives the car back to you when he's done as well. They're expensive, but I haven't seen a more meticulous detailer in Singapore yet. paul
Hi Paul, Heard Lionels work is pretty good. But expensive. I just sent my car to to Ah Ming. He use to do all of HS cars until he left them earlier this year. I have been using him privately for the last few years. He does private cars on a case by case basis nowadays as he doesn't have a shop.
This thread has images of my project: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33819 Yes, I know LTA, blah, blah, blah....
wow Clive, that's really impressive! I never thought there'd be such a hard core project in Singapore. Respect, man. Hope you keep us updated!
My my.... Clive I would like to visit you too. Can you PM me as well? You know, I was an industrial Designer & my dream was to become a car designer but that degree in US was a bit too much for me to handle. I've done some similar work like you in my school days but on smaller projects. I've been customising my cars & bikes before & know some guys who can custom Carbon Fibre here, Thailand & possibly Malaysia & that can save you some $! I'm thinking of "upgrading" my 348 looks as well. Brave work!
Clive - amazing work. Would be very interested to see the finished product - a real one of a kind! Please do keep the forum posted. Jon - "upgrading", what are you planning?
I am getting my car's ECU to be reprogrammed on Tues. A guy from GMS in the UK will be doing it. Will try to get some photos.
Lots of Ferraris in today's Classifieds, especially from a dealer called Autoinc. Wow '95 355 for $268k! Have prices come down recently or were ferraris always this accessible?
Well, prices are about there. I sold my 355GTS for slightly higher than that about 6mths ago. The problem is...very few banks are going to give u a loan for a high amount given that it is a COE car i.e. car that is past 10 years.
