    Anybody know of a good one with low or no fees? My sister-in-law just moved to OH from here in NC and is looking for a credit union. She was a member of NC State Employees CU here, but there are obviuosly no branches there.Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

    The GE Evendale Employees Federal Credit Union offers all the commonly desired services (savings & checking accounts, home & vehicle loans, credit cards with rebates, etc.) with competitive rates and low (or frequently no) fees.

    As with most (or all?) credit unions, there needs to be some affiliation as a qualification for membership. In this case, it's typically some relationship to General Electric. I believe that the affiliation requirements are pretty broad, and more people are probably eligible than you might think.

    Are You a memeber there? Any way she can be your "step-sister"? At my local CU you just have to list the members name and relationship.

    Yes, I am, but I'd advise the applicant to just check membership rules. They're pretty broad. And, if they're not broad enough, perhaps they can recommend a similar CU locally that would be a better fit.
