It's back by popular demand! Texas Driver Magazine’s second “Road to Adventure” will be even better than before. The group will leave the RUF Auto Centre in Carrollton, Texas, on November 20, 2004 at 8:00AM for a jaunt to the historic East Texas town of Jefferson. Renowned automotive fine artist Bill Neale leads the caravan through the back roads of Texas countryside. Lunch will feature Le Mans driver Jack Griffin. As usual, just buy your own gas and lunch. Visit www.texasdrivermagazine.com for more information.

See you at 3219 Commander in Carrollton, Texas!

Scott tells me they have over 50 cars planning to attend this event. Should be a good time, if the rain will just stay away.

The follow-up e-mail says it's a 3 hour drive. Is that one-way or round trip? I may have to re-consider my participation.

    Dropped by for the start.

There was truly a nifty toy there, in addition to the more normal Ferrari/Pantera/Lambo/Porsche crowd. Met a new Fchatter, Jeff, which is always a pleasant experience.

Nice place, very nice service bay. If you're a Porsche guy I bet these guys can help you out.

No camera with me, so you'll have to wait for the pics :D

Sorry I had to miss it but I worked 7 days without a break. This lazy bastard needs to sleep in & get some stuff done around the house. I guess thats one of the many advantages of living in North Dallas area.

Well, At least I'm near to MSR.

Jimmy and I drove with (ahead of) the pack until Greenville, then we turned back West on 380 to McKinney. We didn't have time to do the entire drive. Had some pretty good blasts of speed, Jimmy told me I was doing 130 at one point but I don't believe him, that's not what my speedo said! It was rather humorous that when we exited in Greenville, about 6 cars followed us. Um, sorry guys, we're stopping here. All in all a good time.

I'd post some pics, but I was berated last time for not taking high-res pics, and now that I have high-res photos, my picture editing software won't resize them small enough for here. I'll work on it.

I had a business meeting at 8:30am... so I missed out.

Did they have any estimates of when they'd get back to Ruf?
It would be fun to catch them on the return.

"Berate" is a strong word, no? And you did ask us to remind you :)

Glad to hear you had a good run, and truly tested the repairs.

If you want to email me the pics I can resize them for you. Or you can get Infranview, which is a great free resizer/editor

I'd imagine they'll start pulling in shortly, maybe 4pm arrival times. The route was pretty long and they did have lunch in the middle.

My thoughts exactly. But after a long few weeks, I needed a night off for darts & good beer.

I dig the Hamann side strakes and front spoiler action on the 360 Spyder. That's quite an improvement in my opinion. If only the Spyder included the CS front bumper, I'd be in love.

The part of the story you don't know is that the lady in the Dodge Polara driving next to the red Pantera was also on the drive. She was keeping up very well at some high rates of speed.

You might also notice the picture of me in my car next to Jimmy. If you'll look in my hand, you'll see my camera. My picture of that moment was the one of the rear end of the Panoz. Pretty cool!
