Jon, Unfortunately no Can't make it Saturday and will be at the PCA autocross on Sunday morning. But it sounds like you have a great list of drivaz. Have a good safe time. Andy
Well this run to BMC fizzled out before it got started. I was going to drive there by myself and take some pictures of my car in front of the place with tumbleweed blowing past. I don't think Rob really believes that anyone from Fchat is ever going to go there. Anyway... Dave White and I took a ride out to Tobay to meet up with Andy and check out the PCA event there. Here are a couple of pictures. That fastest times were by a 914 and a Griffith. Actually the Griffith blew everything else away. Car is white with yellow accents, 2.7 liter motor, 159 hp at the rear wheels. He had RPM Racing on the back deck lid. Said he had some things done their in the past. His nickname is "Duke", unique first name I can't remember. My friend Jim knew him from his motocycle racing days. He is the sales mgr at BMW of huntington(motorcycles). Ed the guy with the CS was with da "brooklyn boys". No pics of our beauties?
That's Demetri. That 914 is fvcking amazing. Super light and super loud with the megaphones. Built by T&A Racing and RPM. Just wanted to make sure that he was doing well and not some other 914 moving in on his turf...
Wow, the Griffith ran away with the fastest times with a 914 next up. It never fails to amaze me that some of the older (very older at this point) cars are still so competitive, but I guess most of it comes down to the drivers. Too bad I had to miss another weekend of runs - working at mom's office sat and building website today (err, yesterday). See y'all soon... when I get a car on the road again
I realised when I downloaded the pics last night that I didn't even take any. I guess its because the way they were parked it would look like every other shot of them from the past year. I'll find an old one if you want.... I forgot to take a shot of Andy's bike too. I lost track of time and barely made it back in time for my daughters concert. It was definately a fun event to watch. The minis were cool to see run. I think that Lotus could have done better with a different driver. That car really stayed flat in the turns. The police were all over the place on the way back.... I had to drive like Keith.
I don't remember his name but he and his brother both have CS. I noticed that Dave already chimed in with "da boys from Brooklyn"; they're part of a fun bunch of guys and you never know what they will show up with. Last week they brought a couple of Ducati race bikes and the week before a Gallardi. In all, they had five 360s there last week. Ya gotta love 'em.
I had never seen him before. Just the 2 other guys with the 360s who always come. They definately have some awesome stuff...
Yeah they sure do...and we forgot to mention the yellow 360 Spyder that left on the flatbed just before Dave and you arrived. I think the worst place for a Ferrari is on a flatbed. And having to ride shotgun in a flatbed with your car on the back must be the most humbling experience a car guy can go through. I felt bad for him.
