Tough loss. It would be nice if people were more like dogs. They never question. They never lie. They just give you unlimited devotion.

Oh no, that is the worst thing in the world, to lose a best friend luke that.

Dogs are truly the best creatures. I would prefer to spend my time with dogs than with people, so when we lose one, it is very sad for me.

You know, there is a reason "Dog" spelled backwards is "God".

I am very sorry for your loss. I really, really am.

Sorry to hear about the loss Patrick :( Last year we lost our german shepherd of 9 years to the same thing cancer w/ tumors all over her body. Just remember she's in a better place now and doesn't have to be in pain all the time.

Pat, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know first hand the pain of losing your buddy like that. I'm glad you had 13 years with him.

Condolences on the loss of your family friend. Just know that he's crossed the Rainbow Bridge - "there is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and all of our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor . . . ."

When you're outside at night (also very early morning) and see the brightest shining star in the sky, it's Toby looking down from above.
