    Some years ago, I remember seeing a popular rock groups member having someone special build him a 64 250 GTO convertible conversion or something Rebodied.....I remember the pics visually as one up from a 275 nart spider..absolutly stunning...
    Anyone have pics!

    From Nick Mason's Ten Tenths stable this is chassis 3757 with a 3 litre, six carburettor V12 engine which develops 296 bhp at 7,500 r.p.m. This particular car was placed third at Le Mans in 1962 in the hands of Beurlys and Elde

    Search for "GTO Spyder". A few have been built. Yes the Drummer from ZZ Top did one. It was detailed in Prancing Horse #104 3rd quarter, 1992. It was also discussed on this forum. See Archive from 2003.

    Yeah, I love that 250 GTO Spyder. I loved it so much, that I actually modified one of my 1/18 Bburago models to make it look the same. It is such a beautiful car.

    Cool idea, but I just don't see it happen. They do retro by using styling clues in their modern cars.
