No dude, the best thing about the Brits...TVR cars! Followed by all their lovely, wonderful other toys:
    Ultima
    Lotus
    Bentley
    Aston Martin
    Noble
    Farboud
    Jaguar
    Caterham
    Invicta
    Trident
And dozens of others (RR even, although they're not my type of cars).

And far, far ahead of TVR...McLaren.

Muwauahahah! WRONG! I've been waiting for this!

Osmosis is transit of water only across a membrane! Anything other than water is considered diffusion! Suck on that! ;)

What were we doing again? Forks? What do those do?

Anyone else sometimes eat steak right off the steak knife instead of the fork? (I do usually hold both at same time.) Sometimes I like to live dangerously.

The creditors are not obligated to report normal posative account data.

    Shocking, but true.

Also, with regard to 'not lending on rental property', every bank and underwriter within each bank even has different 'guidelines' they follow when originating a loan.

Some banks will compute Debt to Income ratio differently (ie, not looking at rental income as income! d'oh! Or looking at your debt AS THOUGH you maxed out all your CCs! That's right, even just having credit cards can screw you! Of course, not haivng enough revolving debt on CCs can also screw you in a different place...)

The banks are happy to loan a family $500k to get a house, and somehwat less happy to loan same another $500k for a vacation condo in Tahoe.

After that, they don't want anyone making any money in Real Estate but themselves!

Rent a jet, and take your bank manager down to Santa Barbara in "Your" Gulfstream, and then work something out. It's the only way to win in their game.

Cool. Do you go there to enjoy the roads often? I hear the constabulary is fairly easy-going and last time I was there I saw no Gatsos whatsoever. Not that it would have mattered to me...foreign license, hire car. :D

Why do you think hamburgers are so popular in the 'states? ;)

Have you guys ever seen a "spork"? (Those half spoon / half fork things given out in fast food places.)

Haha. a "spork" :) - Never heard of it.. sounds stupid :) You should really stop eating all that fast food... I appreaciate a lot of things comming from the US.. Music, clothing, fashion, perfume and so on. but on thing I hate the US for importing to our country; Fast food.. It's ****ing disguting and it makes people fat.. It's a really bad influence.. We already have 400 McDonalds in Denmark, and that 395 to many.. KFC, Burger King are here also, and we don't want it. Well. we do, or else they wouldn't be here... but that's one thing I don't appreciate comming from the US.. but a lot of other things, I appreciate very much.. :D

Well, a lot of people here don't like fast food either. And no, Jonas, McDonalds is not in your country because you want it. It's because McDonalds wants it. And it's a huge and powerful company that can blitz a small country very quickly. The only way to fight back is to not patronize them, even when you are very hungry and it would be convenient. I agree, their food is disgusting. And very, very bad for you. Have you seen Supersize Me? Says it all.

And yeah, I have seen sporks before, though I can't remember where. They're bizarre. I don't think they are made to cater to Americans. It's just vastly cheaper to manufacture and market one item instead of two. They even allow you to put peas on their backside if you are so inclined. :D

To digress for a moment...I left out Marcos from my list of Brit car mfrs yesterday. The latest car has a Chevy small block in it and looks suspiciously like an early 90's TVR Griffith. I have heard that Marcos has hired an ex-TVR designer--it's obvious when you look at their latest car. Too bad it's not original. Marcos has had financial woes for quite some time. This doesn't seem like a fresh new formula for helping it climb out of the slump. Still, 400 bhp and 394 ft-lbs of torque can't be all that bad. :)

    I just love British cars.

I’m surprised that no one has been asked to peas fork off and learn to eat properly. With a spoon and a tin cup.

Let's not com' a cropper an' go throw teddy out the cot - Let's all share a grin and vomit up the apples and pears at the Coal Hole.

Anyway, proper English peas are all 'mushy' and come with proper fish, chips, ale, and can be eaten with anything available....

And in Britain, the title of this thread would have meant something else entirely......

Good lord. No wonder the guys on piston heads are wondering what is wrong with fchat. He posted a thread asking a question and all you guys seem to worry about is why he won't pay for a membership. He doesn't want to, so what? Why do you care so much anyway.

    Um, yeah we would.

Without the Irish we would not have Guinness and Harp, Harp being part of the Guinness company.

but most importantly without the Brits, Newcastle, and no, not the team. :)

Hey, who merged the two threads? One was about credit reports. The other was about how to use a fork. Hardly similar..
