I think we saw the Cayenne for you last weekend. Get Eric to show you. I don't do Pcars. Or Jersey. No one saw me there. Not even Vik.
Oh man Chris...you just opened yourself up to a world of **** bro! V6 Cayenne? You must be joking me right? I don't want to hear a peep out of you regarding any Pcar negativity if you even get close to a V6 powered Porsche. The thought of it pains me...at least, at minimum, you have to go for the "S". Turbo is the way to go...but the $$$ is a little high for what you get. I say find a year old Turbo and save yourself $30K off list. The one that we saw at JD was pretty phat. Had a Porsche "kit" on it with 20" wheels in Black. Pretty sharp...even though I'm not a big fan of the Cayenne.
Funny, that looks a lot like you in the picture I posted? Either you or the red baron with that scarf around your neck! ;-)
hey if they sell it cheaper i will do jersey for that. might have problem with NJ, but definitely have no problem with saving money.
All kidding aside bro...if you're really considering picking one up, I CAN hook you up at a couple of dealers in NJ. Let me know...I'll be happy to help.
yeah i am. although the thing is, i really want to find a '04 v8, my local dealer can sell '04 to me at near invoice($8k off list) but only have silver left. they cant give as much discount on '05. so if jack daniel can sell at near invoice, and have a black/lapis blue one, i am iN.
I'll make a call in the morning and see what can be done. I have two dealers that I can work with here in my area, so there's a good chance that I can find one for ya.
cool. and btw, the reason i dont really wanna do turbo: i actually do not must have a SUV, i just want something AWD for winter, at this point i do not need the space/capacity of a SUV, and neither me nor wife are excited at all about the cayenne. thus, if i were to drop 90k on it, i would rather get a 996TT and put snow tires on it for the winter. i know its a strange way of thinking, but the funny thing is wife fully agreed with it
not strange at all. 996TT w/ snow tires + ski rack = perfect ski car. regrettably, Ferrari has yet to make a car reasonable people can take skiing. So in the winter you need a Porsche. And if there are just two people, a 996TT seems a much better choice than a Cayenne. Is there any way ground clearance is going to be an issue for heavy winter use? That's the only thing that could possibly come to mind for me. Nice to have something that will always be more automobile than sled. But if it matters at all it's probably only in deep snow.
yeah the cayenne is usful for heavy winter use, but out of a yr there is about 10 days like that, i do have a beater honda civic for that, so not really necessary. if i can get a black '04 v8 for invoice i'd do it regardlessly, otherwise i prolly just wait. gotta set dem priorities staright, need to get the 360 taken care 1st zen!
Silver Star in Roslyn is dealing big time on Cayennes. I almost picked up a Cayenne V6 for $0 out of pocket, tax up front and a monthly of, get this, $299. No nav. No ride height. But for $299 you can have an Explorer or a Cayenne V6. Not sure if the deal is still on. Call them. Ask for Artie. 516 625 5544, i think...
Back on thread----- Yesterday while driving from W Virginny to O....hio,hit major rain. Almost blinding. What that means? Usually NJ sees Ohio weather 1-2 days later depending on winds. There's no wind. So look for Rain Friday maybe Sat morning. Today (Thurs) the sky is very overcast. No rain. I think we can expect wet roads, but no rain. What the heck, my car needs a wash anyway. Man-up Hubi style Now, gonna sneak out to two car dealers to see what in the way of Ferrari or other exotic they have before a meeting starts at 10. cia
From what I've heard we should be fine Sunday morning. Perfect weather for the run and showers may come in later in the day...maybe not. Just BE THERE FELLAS! Especially you Rehan... ;-)
