Is it just me or are we seeing more and more Ferrari's for sale in so called "Mint condition" and when you really look at them you wonder what the hell the seller is going on about?
Not that i think Ebay is the best place to look, but they do tend to have a few Ferrari's for sale, but some of the cars are just..............crap!

I wanted to post a few photos side by side of so called "MINT" and mine but couldnt work out how to do it.

But anyway i think if you going to discribe your car as "Mint" or in excellent condition it really needs to be..........wouldnt you agree?

    You are forgetting two things.

#1 Nobody has an ugly baby, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

#2 After being in the car business for about 30 years I can say with some authority that car salesmen are known to....... embellish a little.

You are absolutely right about everyones webster dictionary interpretation of Mint, 10/10, concorse condition. It makes the people who actually have these cars less credible when it comes down to it.

I'm going to complain and jump on the soap box about this too...when it comes time to sell your beloved Mint, 10/10, Concorse Ferrari prepare to get beat up by people who are willing to buy someone's MINT Ferrari for seemingly $80,000 that was found on ebay rather than $92,000 for your Mint Ferrari that was found on Ferrari ads.

Unfortualtey the Webster Dictionary does not have the Red/Tan 355B or my Black/Tan Spider sitting next to the picture under the dictionary definition. And although Ferrari could make the Red/Tan 355B or My car or others their Poster Child for Service, Condition, Treatment or otherwise.....be prepared to get $5,000 - $8,000 less because "there are millions of these around".

Ok...I feel better now. But I still want another Red/Tan 355B for my spider...

yes i do and enjoy it, the skid plates are form hill engineering they are a sponsor here on f-chat.

  9. Half of the 355's are not mint extremly swirled paint, In properly detailed upon sale. Seats show alot of wear center console bubles, dash is shrinking the front bumper has a bunch of rock chips.

The worst part is how badly detailed those cars are. Most are just washed and tires are dressed. It takes alot more to get a car to look good then that.

If you get them detailed, keep them under the cover, and don't drive them, they'll be mint. They'll also have seal issues, emission issues, etc. These are cars, drive them, enjoy them, looking at them isn't where it's at.

    who said it was?
i dont think you read the post.
no one is saying dont drive them, what i said was funny how some people think there car is in good condition (when selling) when in fact they look like crap.

if someone has the money and wants to clean it and look at it and not drive it then thats upto them...........shame because they drive better than they look and they look bloody good.

Your car is the definition of MINT. 10/10ths, concours, el perfecto.
Congratulations, on keeping the car stunning, and driving it as well.
That is part of the mystique of Ferraris, fabulous to drive, fabulous to admire
    in motion, or standing still.
Also, I like those aluminum undershields.

I dont drive it to work ever day but i try using it weekends.
It was in such good condition when i got it,it doesnt take a lot to keep it nice. By far the best polish i have ever used is the Meguiars NXT generation tech wax, easy to use and leaves the car with a real deep shine.

I once bought a Ferrari in mint condition.
It cost a mint to fix the thing. And another to maintain it. I guess I got twice what I'd paid for.
