Hi all, managed to squeeze in some time to visit this show & the 430 was finally here on Friday! Didn't have time to get proper pics as my wife was waiting.... the Ferrari guys didn't impressed me with their attitude though. Anyway, I'm more swayed towards a baby Lambo. Those guys never learn to treat a potential buyer do they?

Thank you for the pics. I love quiet motor show, where I can walk around freely and take time to see the car.

Jon - Great pics! That 430 is a good looking car. Very handsome (vs. the more pretty 360)!! Unfortunately haven't been able to get down to the Motorshow - work's kept me away. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Sad to hear about the treatment at the F-stall. Was it just attitude or were they rude?

honda/acura is being very quiet about this one,but many "think" this "may" be a very strong statement as to which direction the future nsx "could be" heading-guess we shall all wait and see-rumors flying around about this car so(we all know about rumors !!!)

That's a HSC~tipped to be the next NSX but they are not going to build it. Not too sure about the specs, looks like a working protoype rather than a clay model. I would book one if the money is right!

ScarletFever, it's not that they are rude (yet) but I had a conversation with one of the sales staff who wasn't much interested and gave me a cold shoulder. Then another guy I knew pretended he didn't see me even though I greeted him. You can tell that they are not interested in the general public. Perhaps I look too young to be a potential buyer. I would never allow my staffs to do this to customers. It was a total difference when a senior manager @ C&C (Merc) who served me. Very friendly & no attitude, left a deep impression till date.

I did not want to comment on the issue about the staff...

But knowing them quite well over the years, this is what i learned about the shared mentality between the four "prominent" ones. More like an organizational culture thingy....

I will try to quote as accurately as i can from memory..

" We know who are the ones with the disposal income..if they are somebody we will know them, will call them and will entertain them.

Otherwise work harder and when they (wannabes) have made it they will hear from us."

Well there is some thruth and logic to it isn't it?

Over the years they have lost many good sales men like Pang choong yen...and that very tall chap, John and the rolls royce guy, but i also have come across many a good ones that provided excellent service but most of them did not stay long, i can only guess..

SF - Understand what you are talking about, had similar experiences in HK when I lived there. Looked too young and dressed too casually to look like I could afford to buy an F-car (their assessment was probably spot on, as I was a young student!).

Hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for the 'cavallino rampante', though, and hopefully won't dampen yours! The reality is that most of the people I know own/aspire to own the cars because of our own passion for the cars, not because of the sales/'customer service' (though it wouldn't hurt to provide that!). Agree with ultimo's comments, but can't comment on the rankings, as I haven't dealt with the sales staff at HS. Must say though, that having purchased spares from HS for a friend overseas, the workshop guys have been excellent to deal with.

As an aside, I remember reading in Top Gear magazine, when Jeremy Clarkson bought his 355 at the F-dealership in the UK, that there is no chair provided to the customer when signing docs - they all (including Clarkson, Rowan Atkinson, Jamiroquai etc.) have to kneel at the altar!

Nah, they wouldn't really dampen my mood. That's why I still own two other Mercs & a garage of bikes :=) with a collection of single digit plates! No old $ but Toto wasn't too bad huh... Oh forget it. Let's enjoy the cars & babes. Boy, that RR anniversary convertible has 21" rims! There was a nice Lexus which looked like a Merc "F" class. I thought this show wasn't as good as before? No BMW, Volvo & Jaguar. I think the jewel was the Lambo Roadster. What da'u guys think?
