I asked this question in the Technical Q&A section and I have no replies. So, I'm asking here as well.............

I'm thinking of removing the wording "355F1spider" from the rear of the car. Is there an easy way to do this? I unscrewed the 4 philips head screws inside the engine bay and it loosened the black strip holding the black grill in. It seems the black strip has pop rivets to secure it on both sides. Any ideas?

It'd presumably be obvious if it was held on by screws from the back- I'd therefore suggest it is glued on... if so, gently prize off with a screwdriver?

No, I think you don't understand the problem. If you look at the back of your 355 you will understand. I can not find a way to access the "metal honeycombed" part (grill?) the emblem is secured to. The picture makes it seem like it is secured and not glued. The "grill" is riveted (look at part #37)....... do you think the only was to access it is to remove the rivets, then re-rivet it?

Tay was helpful enough to send these picts via PM and email

I know exactly what your talking about without looking at the pix. Yes, it's a rivet.

If I was going to pull it, I would use a Dremel (you know the hand tool you can get a home depot?). You could cut the head off without damaging the surface around it.

Up to you, but once you cross that bridge, there's no turning back.

If you do it post a pix.
