I just pulled into my garage and the odometer reads 90,030. I'm kind of proud. I'm still using it as my daily driver, but now that i'm sort of unemployed, i'm only annualizing at 12,000 miles. Before, I was doing 20,000 + miles per year.

I wonder if FNA would consider giving me something to commemorate 100,000 miles when I hit it? I think Mercedes gives a grille medalion. :)

Maybe Ferrari SpA will give you some sort of "hush" money.

If people start spreading the news of too many Ferraris that have 100k miles on the clock, owner expectations will rise and people will start asking questions... :)

But seriously, this is after what, 4 or 5 engine rebuilds? LOL, j/k.

    Congrats!

Nope. Mine's a 1988 3.2. It's got a 6 digit odometer, so it won't hit "0" until 999,999 miles. May need an engine rebuild at that point. Anybody know what's included in the 500,000 mile service? :)

The Mercedes Club magazine had a piece about a taxi owner in (Greece I think) who had an early 240D with some ridiculous amount of miles. It was way over 1,000,000. He had two spare engines and rotated a rebuilt unit in 11 times over the life of the car. Mercedes AG took the car for their museum and gave him a new C-class diesel.

So Tom, on one hand, you have a bit more distance to go, but on the other hand, if Ferrari treats you like Mercedes treated their customer, you might want to start picking out color combinations.

    Hey Tom,

Congrats on hitting the 90k mark!! I've heard that at the 500,000 mi. service, the belts should be fine but the rest of the engine should at least be looked at. We don't want an premature breakage due to neglect! LOL

    Happy Holidays & Cheers,
    Hank

    Tom,
Congrats to you on making into the 100,000 club.
This is very reasuring as we recently purchased an 88 3.2 Cab with only 7k miles on it. Although it wont be a daily driver for me, I look forward to driving the car and enjoying it with others.
Can you offer any reccomendations or thoughts towards proper maintence and or things to be aware of?
    - Ron

congradulations! I have 73,200 on my GT4 and feel better by the day. You and I have officially lost garage queen status. No tears are shedding in my eyes. Cars are meant to be driven.

Geez Tom. Some people are post whores, but 90,030 miles!!! Sure don't forget that big 30 extra miles beyond the 90k. I suggest you give it a well deserved rest in the garage and let the rest of us MMMD's ( Mere Mortal Mondial Drivers) a chance to catch up. I will PM Sam,Ed, Russ, Hank,Adnaan, Peterp and all the other Mondial owners i can find to announce our new campaign. Now known as um, MMMiP (Massive Mondial Mileage increase Program).
I will start driving tomoroww morning, perhaps in shifts we too can collectively catch up!

    Congrats Tom!

CONGRATS Tom!! It will only get better!! My 348 Spider turned 106,000 miles last weekend. All of the "bugs" have long been gone, and it only gets better with every additional mile. When your F-car hits 100,000, it will be the topic of EVERY Ferrari event you attend...Some + some -. Anyway, keep it in the road!!!!

They award medallions at 250,000 KM (or 155,000 Miles), 500,000 KM and 1,000,000 KM. I am getting one for my '87 300D which just went over the first milestone.

    Congrats om Livin' the Dream.
I'll bet if you did write FNA or Ferrari SpA with documentation, they would shoot you a letter, medallion or something. Heck, I'd send one off to Luca! He'd like it.
You just might start a new Ferrari status symbol even the 'big boys' don't have - the Factory mileage medallion.

    Just terrific!
    Best
