When i think DURACELL, i think budget low costs low performing batteries. Its probably in the "DURA" of the name. I get the impression that these are long life batteries, but are made at low costs.
On the other hand, ENERGIZER gives me the impression of good performance. And their new batteries look pretty good two. Nice silver MC2 ones or something...

Hey BWS, This has been bugging me for a long time and I just haven't met anyone who is really into batteries. What do you think about the premium non-rechargeble ones like the M3 line?

Oh my bad I think it's a duracell product - How about e2 titanium AA? (powers my camera and mp3 player and other "high-performance" devices).

Even if i didn't know Bruce, i'd still say that Energizer lithiums are the best batteries in the world... Bruce just sent me another bunch - i'm set for another year...! Lithium, baby, it's the only way to go...

I won't buy an engergizer product because of that bunny. It was cute at first but then it just got silly. They make a good product though and they do seem to last. I have an OLD OLD original Star Wars X-wing fighter toy. The Batteries that I had in that toy when I got it for Christmes in 1980 or somthing, lasted a very long time. In fact I think they lasted for almost 10 years if you can belive it!! In fact they may still be in the toy. I'll have to dig it out of the box and have a look. So needless to say I buy Duracell products. But I do have a 9V Energizer in my effects pedal for my guitar and one in my Wah Wah pedal and they have worked very well.

    I concur (haha and I hate doctors :D )

But, in response to the original question from Bruce, I think duracell has a better marketing scheme going on with their "we're used here here and here, so use us there as well" thing naming all these jobs / situations where you'd expect the top of the top to work.

I don't mind being sold to, but do you move all your batteries based on not knowing the competition and the word of someone who seems a little TOO happy about receiving a shipment of AAs?

It's only a matter of time before PETA takes action against the energizer bunny. I almost always go with Duracell, anyway.

I dont really have a set brand of batterys that ive commited too, but looking through cabinets and stuff in my house, id say about 90% of them are Energizers...So I would be safe to say that me and my family choose the bunny.

    Duracell...and I don't like you.

I'd have to agree with some of the previous comments. Up until recently I would have said Energizer but Duracell has been all over the TV the past few months. The ads showing their battery in use in 'critical' applications (in outer space, in a microphone at a live performance, hospitals, etc.), seems to stick in my mind.
    Stay well, Bruce.
