I just clicked over 60,000 miles in my 348 on Sunday. The more I drive the car the better it runs. At around 59,950 I got a rock chip in my windsheild. I was pissed, but hey, now it has another scare to go with all the ones on the bumper. Road grime, break dust, rock chips, door dings, are all sings of a Ferrari that gets put to proper use. I didn't buy the car I dreamed of driving as a kid, to just have it rot in a garage. My Ferrari is a road warrior not a garage queen. Now go drive your Ferrari!
Ernie, That's great! I'm just a tick below 89,000 on my '88 Mondial. It's still my only car. You're absolutely correct. The more you drive them the better they run. I know i'll never be able to sell mine due to the mileage, but that's OK. I don't mind being the one to take her past 100,000, 150,000, 200,000 +
I'm in Longport but not for long. I'm looking for a house in a community closer to Philly. I plan on moving within the next few months. ...And I'm still waiting for the chance to get the ride in your 330 that you promised me a year ago.
My 99' 360 coupe has 23,100 miles and still going strong. These cars should be on the road and not in the garage.
59,800 2,000 of them mine since I brough it home in June. I'll put on more next year, as it is about to go to Algar to finsih the overhaul we started last year. DM
I always give people this advice regarding Ferraris usage and the effect on costs: Don't fool yourself into thinking that a Ferrari can be owned and run on the cheap. They are an expensive hobby whether you drive them a lot or very little, so you might as well enjoy them!
