Get a subscription - it works out a lot cheaper. Not only that I now seem to be getting January's edition with a few days of November left. That must be well in advance of the shops. Its good to read about a car we know from this forum, that must make a subscription worthwhile. Ken
Thanks guys its been edited to buggery but I think its half decent. The pic is great of the car on the runway but the one of me is bloody awful!
Hi Simon, Looks like you've usurped me as Evo's resident supercar owner! Don't worry I'm used to it as even my little Smart Roadster Coupe was ousted when Smart decided to give Evo a Brabus. Never fear, I am about to return in a number of articles, none Ferrari-based though. (well not for a couple of years until my F430 arrives) David Yu
It's normally out a couple of days after the subscribers get it. Probably worth signing up to subs - get a free Ferrari DVD (I think - need to double check) this time. I hate to say this but I've been buying Evo for years now but some of the last few issues have been a bit cr@p but this one's a good'un. My favourite parts are the long term tests - think these really show the true 'useability' of a car. If it's the real David Yu here then would like to say you were a major factor in me purchasing my first Ferrari a 355 - read and re-read all of your articles on the 355 Spider. What ever happened to your blue 355 - last time I saw it up for sale at Verdi's ? Did chipping it make much difference ? Rick
Of course it's the real David Yu here! Do you think I'm famous enough to have imposters? ;-) I sold the F355 through a friend earlier this year. I didn't miss it much as I was enjoying P1's fabulous collection, but now I have become a full-time journo I made a conscious decision not to renew as I have to learn to blag like all the other journos! I would say that remapping is essential to get the most out of the other breathing mods I did (K&Ns and full decat Tubi). I really noticed an increase in response and torque. It could keep up with standard 360s, so I guess power went up to around the 400bhp mark.
Hi David, any chance that you could arrange to do an article on the UK Fchat mob like you did with the So Cal lot?
Andrew, Simon's Murci has joined EVO's long term test fleet. The mag arrived today for subscibers, it'll be out early next week .
Tony, well actually the article is going to be about the Cizeta V16. I still haven't placed the article about Crystal Cove even though there were some amazing cars there when I went and every week. There needs to be a newsworthy event in order to sell an article. Any coming up? Mark, no not yet. Are you thinking of buying one? Racing is infinitely more exciting than track days, even when you're in a four pot kit car!
Hi David I wish you hadn't posted this! I've just bought myself a 355 and it's with karl at Verdi's for a long list of work. One of the items is the fitting of a Capristo (he talked me out of the decat) so i guess i can add the ECU upgrade to the list BTW did your ECU work give you the 9200rpm redline?
