Hhhmmmm Havnt heard of that one yet.
Looks like gamespot are not too keen on the game...
I suppose it would be near impossible to market a good car sim for the PS2 infront of GT4..

I rented it tonight, and I think it is "ok". Are there not any cheat codes for this game? I can't find any! I always cheat on rental games! If I had known I couldn't get a pimped-out Skyline from the beginning, I might not have rented it!

you can "pimp out" a skyline? here in oz we think of them as bogan'd or rice'd out, never pimp'd. of course we have A LOT of skylines on the road due to RHD and easy (comparitively) compliance.

honestly, i thought the first "underground" was kinda fun... for an hour or two, and had that laughability that would endure a night of corn chips and beer with your mates, but it's not really werth buying.

i remember waiting anxiously for NFS4:HS, and honestly, was NOT disappointed - considering the available gaming technology at the time -.

me and my old man spent a month of insomnia playing that game, nowadays i'm just not sure such time on new games is as "well spent".

there is of course the added fnck-off-factor of advertising, which in oz (likely same as US) consists of dumb-ass RnB/RapCrap music and homies talkin' over top about makin' a name for theyself. certainly not an inducement to those who come from a performance car worship background.

Got the Rx8 cranking at the moment!

Good to see that they have recorded a fairly decent rotor sound!

Check out www.gamefaqs.com for info and cheats (dont know if they work though)

I just got the Audi TT, but the only car I have actually driven so far is the Miata. I have tried a few other cars, but I love the lightweight, rear wheel drive. The Miata has about 255hp right now, and stage II of pretty much everything except transmission stuff.

I am referring to the Miata as the lightweight, RWD car that I love. I haven't even driven the TT (and probably won't). The Miata is pretty tough to win drag races with, but I kick butt in everything else. I actually lapped 3 competitors on a six lap URL race

Is the Supra Turbo available in the game, or just the "Supra" ? I got a Supra, but it is the naturally aspirated version. It sucks!

i got bored yesterday so i went and rented it. it sat around my apartment for like six hours before i remembered that i got it, so i stuck it in, and well, i'm actually quite impressed with it. :)

as mentioned earlier, the first underground was mildly amusing, but nothing worth playing for more than a couple hours, this one i ended up spending all night playing and am sad i have to take it back tonight. :(

they seemed to fix all the issues that there were with NFS:U and really honed the gameplay. of course i'll be bored of it soon enough, but it's the sort of game i can imagine losing a few hours a night to for a good couple of weeks.

    quite surprised.

oh, and i should mention the SOUND, they've really captured no just the engine notes, but many of the idiosyncrasies like throttle lift-off and gurgling, plus the tyre screeches are way cool, and the ambient noises are brilliant.

every now and then you just hear the dull sound of a V8 thundering away way off in the distance... the first few times i thought it was someone having fun in a monaro a few streets away. :D
