Yea, thats right, I cut the top off an old Buick in college once. One of those ideas that seems right, at the time!! Possibly in some altered state.

reliability and drivability has been very good. Biggest noticable difference is the sound (no mufflers) and the amazing difference in performance. The car now has performance that matches its' looks.

    :)

For a lot of car enthusiasts, "chopping a top" does mean something different. Along with sectioning, channelling and so on.

Not that I know what I'm talking about, *BUT*, wouldn't it be a better idea to use a 512tr frame because of the stronger structural rigidity- less body roll and whatnot?

Will, looks like you'll need a bigger trailer- lets see; Lambo Countach (still there?), Ferrari F40, Ferrari 512tr street, Ferrari 512tr track, Ferrari TR Roadster.. Your current trailer's only good for 2 !

Can't wait for the summer to see the monsters..! Best of luck.

Hey Kenny, hows it going ? How is college life ? ;)

Yes a 512TR would be better & thats an option at this point but the easiest route is just to buy a car thats already done then add a nice 4 or 6 point roll bar to stiffen it some more.

Its just going to be a low speed cruiser so structural ridgity is not issue #1 with this car
