Does anyone know why the airflow meters are different to all other 348's that I have seen. This is the engine bay of a low mileage 91 TS.
    Thanks

    Steve, where's the pic?

could it be Motronic 2.7 compared to 2.5? fairly simple to tell one from the other if you post the engine bay pics. '91 was changeover year for this 348 mod (if I were on my work pc I could tell you the s/n where the change entered), mine is a 91 with M2.7

Many written motoring articles relating to the 348 model get this detail wrong, assuming incorrectly that Motronic 2.7 didn't come in till much later in 348 production range.

    Steve,

When you do a reply to thread, scroll down and you'll find 'attach files' in the 'additional options' section below the reply to thread section.

Steve, not sure the actual flowmeters are going to differ much visually but the phase sensor cable exit is different, as are the throttle body potentiometer cable exits

Anybody know why they would be different.Like I said this is the only car I have seen like this, made me wonder if it was a aftermarket mod.

The car has to have been fiddled with. It did not come from the factory like that. Maybe the black plastic pieces are missing, or they were replaced with what you've got.

Where did the car come from? Why not ask previous owners?

Yes, as said thats not a standard configuration, something aftermarket going on there by the look of it. Be interested to hear when you find out, (especially if for a spend of a couple hundred I got a commensurate increase in Torque...kiddin!)
