Shocking isn't it. The Jordan team is about to be sold this week. A Chinese company is rumoured to be the new part time owner. Ralf has made big investments into a porn distribution company in Europe. It'd be interesting to see whether that'll have any influence on the grid girls.

Nah, the business he is into is very hetero and I believe his biz partner is Beate Uhse company from Germany. So at least he is "in bed" with solid business partners in a sleezy industry...Kinda the opposite of the squeaky clean marketing image of his brother.
he will make a ton of money on that investment. beatte uhse is one of the most succesful postwar german companies, regardless of the biz line. and he is reported to have invested only $2.6 mil so not that big....
I sure hope Ralf isn't setting a trend. We could have Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro change into Scuderia Ferrari Bigtits.com or something...
If you own GM stock here in the US you have an investment in Porn. They (or at least did up to a year ago) own a satellite company that is the largest distributor or porn to hotel chains across the U.S.. Needless to say they make a fortune off of it. You'd be surprised to find out who's in the porn business. Don't forget Europeans also don't have the same Puritan, Evangelical stigma association with sex that we have. Pent House used to sponsor an F1 car in the 70s don't forget.
Good points. I still wonder though what conversations (if any) there were between Ralf and Michael. Somehow I don't see family father Michael invest in that industry. PS: I saw the Williams clone with the Penthouse sponsor in 1980 in Brands Hatch. Even got some pics of it somewhere. IMHO not that far away from Viagra sponsoring NASCAR.
One of the best books I ever bought on racing was back in the early 90s. It was "Sponsorship" by Guy Edwards. He helped put together a whole host of sponsorship deals from the Newsweek F1 to Castrol and Silk Cut Jaguar package. Best $250 I ever spent on a book. That's right, $250. Limited print hard back. Buckets of information. And yes he did go into the Durex sponsorship!
The 70s were a very, very different time. Penthouse also produced a movie starring Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, and John Gielgud, among other fine actors.

I say good on Ralph ... I bet that really pissed her ego off and he will be laughing everytime he thinks of the situation. I bet also that he used to get plenty, and now that he is married gets as little as the rest of us married guys Ofcourse we don't know but he may have been in a serious relationship at that time ...
