Wow, I go skiing in Switzerland a few days since I don't have a car to drive and the whole EC fabric starts to tear apart. I'lL nEvER lEAvE yOU GuYS aGAiN ZeN. Seriously, I hope we're all getting along here. I read the posts and the common threads I see are mutual respect tempered with occasional disappointment over this or that... which I think is pretty normal in a tight group of friends. So we all have a choice here between being annoyed that not everything is always just as we'd like them to be, or grateful that we have a group of friends that we can be close enough to to get mad at about little things. I spend more time than I'd like being annoyed, and this place is one of the places I go for fun, so I'll pick option 2! As for me - first off, I just love the EC crew. You've all been great since the moment I met you, and I'm also glad that FChat helped me find my way here. I'm also fond of the concept of a closer, limited access forum where we don't have to worry about unknown onlookers and trolls. And I commend and wholeheartedly thank Brad for starting such a place for us. Is his forum exactly as I would do it myself? No - but quite frankly I didn't bother to make one, which makes me even more glad Brad did. Am I disappointed not everyone I know through the EC hangs out there? A little, since I'd like to see all you guys there, and I do feel like I can hang out with you guys online there more like I would in person, and less like I would when I'm worried about who else is around. But I also respect that as a group we have a pretty wide range of tastes... which means not everything each of us does is going to meet with unmitigated enthusiastic support from everyone else of us. I'd still like to think we're close enough that we can respect each others tastes, and when we're not happy be frank with each other about what's on our minds and would make us happier. So, knowing now that Bradley's disappointed that not all the EC PlAYaZ are inside, and that some of them aren't inside for whatever reason, and that a lot of the EC PlAYaZ (this one included) would like to see us all have a place like Brad's to hang out with each other and only each other (in addition and not instead of FChat, to be clear), I think it would be good to hear what would make all the EC PlAyAZ more comfortable if they aren't already. And I guess this would probably be a discussion better continued on Brad's site than here.
