T-man, I'm still trying to figure out if you are serious. If so, do you have a smaller one? Actually, how tall is this one?

I carry marshmallows in my TR. That way, if it catches fire, I can have a snack!! Then I collect a big fat check from Progressive insurance!!

Not to throw water on your fire but my understanding is the ABC chemical extinguishers can damage any aluminum parts of the engine. Haltron (sp?) is the recommended gas. Found mine with Froogle. 2.5lbs Halatron $87. peeled off the "how to" sticker & stuck on a Ferrari shield on the red cylinder (chrome available too) and it sits behind the passenger seat until I can find someone to make me an aluminum "Charness Harness" for the 308.

No harm Tetsuo.... however it comes down to the contents for me. Your "dry-chem" Sparco is the same as the ones I saw in Walmart for less than $30. I dont doubt youre offering your best deal, but @ anything near $99, youre paying for the Sparco name and the pretty packaging. Bottom line, the dry chem stuff WILL **** up your car enough that you will wish it burnt to a crisp.

Exotic cars should roll Halotron - thats my conclusion. Do your own research. Absolutely no hard feeling if anyone decides to pass.

Thanks for the link Bruce... their prices are a good example of what I found for quality cans:

    Red 2.5 $134.95
    Chrome 2.5 $166.95

So far it looks like I can secure these prices thru the company I contacted, if not tighten them up a little better:

    Red 2.5 $79
    Chrome 2.5 $105

He said no shipping charge too, but I think I implied shipping all to one location. I will clarify, but at most he said S/H is $5 bux.

I am game for two chrome 2.5 pounders. Looks like you are close to the critical mass. Please provide ordering instructions.

At the Bear Mountain run Mike355 showed me his very neat installation of his extinguisher in the front boot. He used existing screws used to hold the inside boot liner. This appproach should work in all F3xx's.

Halotron doesn't deplete the ozone as much as Halon - a good thing - but you need twice as much Halotron to achieve the same effectiveness as Halon. E.g. a 5B:C halon extinguisher contains 2.5lbs of halon while a 5B:C Halotron extinguisher contains 5lbs. Halon is offers better bang for the buck.

Good news - H3R is offering 10% off for the month of December. They have Amerex chrome models, and they also have reconditioned models for a big discount. Same warranty, but not brand new looking

    Go to http://www.h3r.com/products/home_vehicle.htm and

Select the product(s) you want to buy
    Click on the "Checkout" button
Click on the "Redeem Coupon" link
Type "HALON" in the "Offer number" field
Click on the "Redeem Coupon" button

    Or call 800-249-4289.

    Cheers!

Regarding how these things mount... they come with a steel bracket that gets fastened down with screws. I have not seen the actual bracket, but I assume it wld fit behind/between your seats (as Clyde mentioned). Maybe Michael can share his idea as well.

However, for the meticulous people onboard like Rehan (and myself) I think it wld look totally trick to have a local upholstery shop make a fabric sleeve copying the design from the Stradale. Its just a thought... peep the pix:

FYI - for comparisons sake, I think the OE Stradale extinguisher is the 5lb size. At least the diameter of the 2.5lb cans wld be thinner, if not slightly shorter.
