Doesn't even look all that cheesy!!!! Looks more like an SLK-R to me than a real SLR, but it's rather fine. edit ... yeah, actually, the body panels kinda fit like crap ...
It still looks better than the real SLR!!!! LMAO!!! :D

The SLR is ugly and in many ways that car looks better.

now that is sweet, looks a lot more like a SLK than a SLR because of the shorter wheelbase.

If the SLR ended up looking like the Polish replica seen here than the styling would not have been so badly criticized. I remember reading that the guy who made the replica would never do anything like that again due to how hard it was him to complete.

What's interesting to me is how this resembles American cars... they'll produce a wicked show car that has quality like the SLR, then they release a $25k car that looks like the Polish one.

I spent a month in poland over the summer and one of the nice things was I only saw one stupid ricer car the whole time. Did see quite a few new porsche's and new 1 bentley. I love those Alfa's they have in europe. The Fiat coupe was pretty neat too. If only I could have a Alfa GTV spyder.

Your right but all the car makers seem to do it. Not just the americans. That's what I love about the solstice. It's pretty much the same as the concept. If anything a little better.

Yeah the only thing GM ****ered was the door handles.

But, it needs a V8, maybe Northstar?

Hmmm, I'm sorry it looks shorter and dumpy to me. Also the SLR's exhausts do not exit at the rear of the car but behind the front wheels ... I believe.

Excellent effort though, but why they did not clean the engine bay is beyond me ;) ... picky bastard :D

The car was built off of the SLR prototype that had rear exhausts. When comparing the car to the prototype they are darn close. The Production SLR has several different bits.
