Pretty needy for a kid with a new Ferrari Kart. Take the broken body off that thing and drive the wheels off of it!!!!
Hmmmmmm, looks like the front extensions have folded down Zupra....... The cracks in the body were there and were noted on the Bill of Lading previously........but listen stay calm and I'll talk you thru the realignment... Look on the bottom of the nose and you'll see two tubes coming off the frame to the aluminum under the spoiler...these had a kink in them and so were easily bent....place a board on the ground going across the spoiler all the way from side to side..under the aluminum, OK? Then with the front wheels off the ground several inches, at least three or four, apply pressure to the TOP of the nose and try to bend the two tubes back up....the front edge of the spoiler should be an inch or maybe an inch and a half off the concrete, that's all.......it scapes if you go over a driveway end, for instance....tha'ts OK, it just has to clear the street going straight on. Is your Dad there or maybe a neighbor that has lots of tools in his garage? Somebody like that? Whatg about the back end?......Take a pic from the back of the engine...Is the exhaust straight pipe still on there?? Let me see that part. Dave 328 is listed as the shipper now he can file a claim, but REALLY this is no big deal, I bent it worse than that in Lafayette, LA and luckily there was a team of Orthodonists there that straightened it like I'm telling you now.... They dropped a crate on it or something, but I'm sure they didn't mean to..... Go find some gasoline and fill it up....once the exhaust system is examined I'll help you crank it up! I'm glad it's finally there, we can fix it.. Oh the body is made of some type of plastic, fibreglass won't work but there IS a plastic rod welding process that will, like they use on the new bumpers. Let's fix those two tube things under the nose and you'll be running...see them??? FULL SPEED AHEAD! Go find some blocks of wood or two jack stands........put them under the wing and stomp on the nose alittle bit.......
You CAN chop the nose wing off and pop rivet a new one, but let's go hit a few more things first......... Read my post top to bottom Zup......get the nose in the air and thenpress DOWN to bend the front wing UP... Stick with me and I'll teach you how AJ Foyt does it....he just kicks things and throws hammers at the crew......ROTFLMAO! Press DOWN to bend it UP, once the blocks are under the aluminum bar across the bottom of the spoiler...... GOT IT????????
The steering and suspension are pretty tough, I think they are OK. Heck Zup it just occurred to me, put the front wing up on the curb!!!!! Everybody has a curb!!!!!! That's enough, just get the wheels 2" off the ground to the bottom, then press on the nose to bend it......... Stay calm, you know I can get the stickers, they look pretty good to me...... Are they scraped or something? They only look pretty until the green flag drops.....LOL! I'm boxing your extra shields and neck brace now.....
Post a pic of the back of the car....engine and tail pipe.....you got some gas????? Never refill the engine while it's HOT by the way....allways let it cool down a while first......
The exhaust pipe is a long straight pipe off the motor held on by two bolts...is it still there? Take a pic for me a show it on the back, if it breaks off you'll burn an exhaust valve and then we do have trouble......
Got gas in it?????? How did bending the front wing go? Talk to me little buddy....... BTW the yellow book of racing rules I sent has the phone number for parts, but a whole new shell is expensive and will come unpainted in white, so let's repair this one and you'll be good to go!!!!! Like your name on the side? The graphics guys did that on their own.....sigh.....another Thank You letter to write.....LOL!
Yep! Here goes...... Fill tank with gas, almost to the top........don't do it over the grass in case you spill a little. The little yellow cap on the motor is the oil...unscrew it and look...the oil should be at the bottom of the threads inside...doesn't have to be all the way to the top, just at the bottom..if you stick your finger in and can get it oily, that's enough. Now, CHECK exhaust pipe for me......post a pic. On the right side of the motor are two black levers that move horizontally.. <------------->. The bottom one is the throttle with a cable attached, you'll see it move back and forth as you squeeze the lever on the steering wheel. The other lever that moves like this.. <--------------> is the Choke. To start push it forward about two thirds of it's range of travel........block the LEFT rear drive wheel up on a block of wood so the cart doesn't run away....IMPORTANT so you don't look foolish chasing it! Put the wood, a 2 x 4 was in the cart or get another one, under the rear of the frame, this should raise the left rear wheel so it doesn't touch the ground. Check black switch on top of the steering wheel that says OFF ON...push rocker switch in under where it says ON.....Also important, ALWAYS remember if stuff starts going wrong you can reach up and turn this switch OFF to kill the engine and stop the cart....Practice this befor eyou have to do it in a panic! OK, with the choke pushed forward, go around to the back and pull the cord on the right on the motor, just like a lawnmower. Once you hear it pop and start up, you can hold onto the bar and move the throttle or have a buddy do it up on the steering wheel. Now it's running up on the wood block...watch that vibration doesn't make it 'walk' off the wood. Hold on to the back bar of the spoiler to be sure. Let the engine run a minute, pull the choke lever to the rear to take the Choke off, run around and jump in the drivers seat HELMENT ON, have a buddy push the cart sideways to make the 2 x 4" fall over and YOU"RE OFF! Have fun! Be Safe. When it runs out of gas, let it cool down five minutes...refill and have more fun! Enjoy, my friend..........
NEVEER MIND IT WORKED but when u sit in the the front right wheen when u turn left it touvhes the wing and is teher any way u turn the wing more?
Are you there by yourself????? I'd put the front wing on the curb, supporting the aluminum plate and push about where the VIENTO sticker on the nose is located. If pushing down doesn't work STAND on it, or maybe JUMP on it....lightly.. Is your Mom helping you?????
Sometimes the wheels do rub on the wing when you turn,.....tha'ts as hard as you can turn it... The technical Ferrari Kart phrase would be "limit of travel".
It worked???? Good! Good job! All you need in the front is an inch of height, above the road.....better downforce!
but when you turn to the left the wheel touches the wing.... it wont even turn liek 2 inches only 1 how can i fiz that?
You can adjust "Toe in" on the front wheels but that's tomorrow's Tech Session. Is someone there with you? Have your Mom help you start it after reading my directions.... You aren't by yourself are you? Where's Dad?????????
You'll be surprised how much that wheel to wheel travel turns you. I'll check my kart here and make sure that's enough. Take a pic of the front wheels, from sitting in it. If they both point straight with the steering pointing straight they are OK.
