Damn, the Zagatto 348 is the ugliest Ferrari I have ever seen. It definitely qualifies for the 4th degree of ugliness. Just Incase you are not familiar with the stages of ugly you have:

    1. Ugly
    2. Ugly, Ugly
    3. Pugly (pug ugly)
    4. Fugly (Fu*#in ugly)

This car is most definitely fugly.

Andy, I respect your choice on your mods however, I just do not find the round tail lights attractive esp since it wasnt designed by Maranello. My rear lights were unique only to 348 Speciale from the factory (only 115 made).

I agree w/ you on the side panels. The side panels of my 348 were from the 348 GT/Le mans (at least I can argue that it is track proven? haha). I still have the original panels/wheels & switch it everytime I get tired of it (and to confuse the neighbors).

    Cheers.

Funny how Pinin was able to covert the 348 into the 355, while all Zagatto got was that.

    Hi

I'm impressed by the quality of cars in this thread, but disappointed to see no "Prugna"s, so I thought I would rectify that.

That is the first 348 I have seen in that color. I have seen a Modial in that color, but not a 348. It looks fantastic. I wonder if it is a repaint or original from the factory?

That is a fantastic color - really suits the car.

Any idea how many other 348s in your color?

    Cheers

I think there are about 6 in RHD, but I don't know how many LHDs there are. I haven't seen any others here.

Sorry Kevin, I've no idea. Enjoy your move back to OZ when you go, but don't the Traffic Police somewhat hinder your enjoyment of the Ferrari there? The police around Sydney seem to be quite hot on fast cars!!

Yes - you don't want to speed in Australia on public roads. Interesting that at least in Australia they seem to have made the speeding tickets expensive enough that they are at least somewhat of a deterrent!! Fortunately there are tons of "gentleman racing" opportunities both on racetracks and on organised rallies with closed stages so you can drive 'em like Enzo intended.

Enjoy your car - I know I love my 348 spider even though I haven't seen it for a while!!

    Cheers

    Hey Kevin,
I guess Steve Irwin got to ya, huh? Monkeys, snakes and "isn't he a BEAUT?" spiders. OK fine, just make sure you find a suitable replacement to meet me at Union Station for "the CC trip". :)

When do you leave - what's up?
    Cheers, Hank

Hank - I lived in Sydney from 1994 to 2001 - took up citizenship right before we came back to America. Love the life down there but chased the almighty dollar back to LA.

Not going for a few years yet so no worries on hooking up at Union Station (assuming I have a bloody car to drive...) Just in case though I think Murph (Kevin Murphy) is in Glendale so you guys can hook up if I do a runner!!

I am supposed to get my 348 back late next week so may go to CC but would pick it up in Costa Mesa early Sat AM and just go the rest of the way from there. I definitely need a fix - mama's Porsche don't cut it.

    Cheers
    Kevin
