My car is at home, but going to the shop tomorrow.
My car is in my garage at the moment, but is going out for a nice drive later today..... If you drive with spirit, it is called an "Italian tune up"
This is the first winter that my car hasn't been scheduled for some type of procedure. I've driven it with the top up more in the past two months than during the past two years. I'm taking the horse out later today for some excercise.
I've only had my 360 a few weeks, and it's in top shape -- though its warranty expires December 23 and so I'm trying to drive it as much as I can before then -- just in case something surfaces! I'll be going for a drive, along with my wife, in a little while, heading off to lunch.
Yup, if it isn't one thing it is another. My stinking misfire has come back at very high rpms, and I have a wheel bearing that needs to be replaced. The up side is that I do my own work.
Ferrari 308 GTB #21181 is resting peacfully is a quiet storage unit in a little town west of here today as snow wisps from a cold grey sky. She has her sweet lil heart removed for major repairs, but is on passionate life support, awaiting her beauty treatment while she is unconscious. I can only assume she is pleasantly dreaming of her birth under a Maranello sky, and her early childhood of love under her Fathers watchful eye. She will awake one beautiful spring morning in the coming new year, with renewed vigor, stronger than ever she was in her youth, and will prance proudly once more, showing a once again beautiful complexion that will remove the scars of keys from some lost soul who ravaged her. But she will forever miss her dear Father.
Mines at the dealer I do work for..up for sale...oh well other things to experiance and other challenges to conquor..I will get another..but what? Probbably another 308 or 328. Even though I could get a TR for a sweet deal..or maybe that Lambo Diablo that needs work..or...
A shot someone took of it yesterday. She's in great shape after a little exercise yesterday and good to go
It's a sunny 74 degrees outside, and the Mondial just got back from meeting ShanB in his 348 and MarkPdx in the vette for the weekly San Antonio Sunday FChat brunch.
Waiting patiently for nice weather to go for a spin. Will send for a checkup in April '05. Steering wheel wobbles alittle at a certain speed. Maybe a tire balancing weight came off or needs something else balanced ?!?
Boxer had stabil in fresh non ethanol gas, a quick run, tires up to 50psi sealed in car bag with desecant to bring moisture below 40%. Ahh thoughts of spring.
Just back from SEVEN WEEKS at the shop for gearbox/oil cooler repairs.....just fixed the instrument lamps, installed K&N and Euro Turn signal lenses when...... &^%$&&!!!!!!!!!!!! DEAD BATTERY!?! When will this **** end? Can't I get to just drive my car for one un-interrupted weekend?
Mine is up on the lift in my garage with the front spoiler off for fiberglass repairs (PO did a number on it, time to fix it finally). Birdman
Saturday it went to FoCFL's Holiday Open House. Sunday it went to the FOC Holiday brunch at the Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-hills. An outstanding afternoon with great people and great food but bad for the diet. Now it's in the garage....... January 14th it's going to St. Armands Circle, Sarasota January 22nd it's off to Palm Beach for the Cavallino Concorso dEleganza Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's on the lift, suspension bits scattered about, waiting for a lower left front suspension lever to arrive from England. We were swapping out the shocks bushings and springs when we discovered that this particular bit of the suspension was bent. Also had a leaky shock. All of the parts were original, 30+ year old stuff and pretty much completely worn out. Should be back on the road in time for the Spring thaw. IT's actually safer at the dealer. Right now it's sharing space with an Enzo, that I'm going to try and get some pics of for Carbon.
Mine is garaged over the winter. In early April my workshop collects the car in a closed trailer and drives 200 miles to the workshop for a yearly service/tune-up. When the car's ready it's a two hour trip by train and a four hour drive home. The first drive of the year, in the spring in a Ferrari, it's always an occasion! I done this the last three years, so it's a tradition for me. /Peter
Mine was picked up last Friday by FoW to go in for a Major/Belt service. Gonna use the 'down time' to get stuff done in the garage...new lights, flooring, etc...
